He's a real nice guy. Teaches all in ENGLISH and the work load is not bad. Fair grader, but remember to study how to spell the words for quizes and tests. A lot of fun in class, but chooses favorites and picks on them all the time. Pretty cute too...

Yes he is good looking. Going to his class is fun. I have to say the questions on the tests are very tricky. What the answers should be according to him does not always make sense and he will not negociate.

carlos is amazing! he's always willing to help! we did a lot of presentations for the class, that helped w our grades. he is a fair (and rather lenient) when grading. tests are based on understanding mag/newspaper articles that can be tough. take his advice, start reading anything in spanish to build up speed & understanding for spanish writing.

I liked the class and everything about Carlos. The lectures were interesting and the incorporation of culture was essential to making this class interesting. Carlos grades fairly and seems like a very nice person. You will be thankful if you take 302 with him!

The class was easier than any other 302 classes I have heard about, so if you want an easy A, take it. If you want to learn alot about grammar and rules and just how to write good spanish, this probably is not your class. Overall, I loved the class, and recommend it. But I always take easy classes.

Pretty easy class, hardly any homework, and fair grader. He's pretty good looking, but if you want to learn a lot, don't take his class. Easy A if you do all the homework and show up to class. And PLEASE don't read the presentation, if you can't wing it, just memorize it-everyone will thank you.

There was a lot of discussion,reading and oral presentations which were fine but were not covered on any of his tests. Tests were based on random Spanish magazine/newspaper articles with words you can't use the dictionary to look them up so it was hard to answer the questions. Ridiculous! AVOID!

Carlos is amazing. :) Although most comment on his looks, his passion for teaching and ability to help his students make connections is what impressed me most. Very patient and encouraging. HW assignments and tests are fair and appropriate for the course. Nothing too easy or too hard. He's great!

Class is fun at times but can also be very boring. Most classes consist of reading a story from the book aloud and answering questions or doing discussions in groups. 8 page research paper and presentation are the final. He is a cool guy and very relaxed class but the classes can be boring.
