Comment:

Do the readings. Go to class. You will do well. Yeah, she's not a great lecturer. But she's not bad either. She's a fair marker. Instead of a midterm we had two essays of 4-5 pages. She tells you what the exam is going to be on - you just need to prepare for it and then choose the questions you're best at. I bought one of the two textbooks.

Comment:

Soft spoken and sometimes doesn't lecture loud enough. Very approachable and reasonable. Ideal for the student willing to study/learn on their own terms. Reading the text book and attending half or more of the lectures will result in success. Sit near the front of class if you're hard of hearing.

The class could have been worse, my biggest problem with this class were the exams. At least half of what she includes in the exams she didn't go over in class and weren't even in the textbooks or course pack...not to mention that the things she did go over in class I basically had to re-teach myself because she makes little to no sense.

After being confused about her midterm, she announced to our class that I was going to fail the semester because I didn't know what was going on. I confronted her about it and she didn't "realize" what she said could have possibly affected me or made me upset. I got a A on my paper, a topic she had never heard about apparently.

Knowledgeable about her subject, but needs to be more assertive in her teaching style.Mistakes with dates and such in lectures seems to be due to nervousness more than anything else.Although she's not the best lecturer, her written work is very helpful. Ya'll should not be so harsh.

Aweful on all possible points. She simply isn't a teacher. Monotone voice, unable to explain clearly ideas, she repeats herself constantly, she is unable to answer questions. WHILE she is actually giving quite arduous examinations with complex questions. I had an A- but worked my ASS for it.

Awful teacher. She starts the class but staring at the students expecting them to stop talking...wtf? Then she speaks in such a boring manner that I couldn't even bring myself to go to class anymore. Everything she says is repeated in the textbook, and it's much less painful than going to listen to her. DO NOT TAKE HER.

Awful professor- gives an un reasonable amount of work- is unhelpful and doesn't actually teach anything ! I was an A student before taking her class and my GPA dropped SIGNIFICANTLY !

She's extremely knowledgeable on the subject, although it doesn't always come out in class. She can sometimes drag on for a while, but overall I really liked her and enjoyed the class. I'm not sure where all this hostility is coming from, her class was not that hard. Seriously, if you read to text at all, you'll ace it.

She is very knowledgeable about about her topic but doesn't express herself well in lectures. often she just treats each class as a discussion group without and definite lecture plan. lucky there's lots of reading because that where you'll learn everything from. tough but reasonable grader.

Much of the negative comments about this professor are unwarranted. She does in fact expect a fair degree of mastery of the topic but will always gladly assist you. A professor that actually cares about her students if you actually show enough committment

i took her for two classes. although the material expected to cover is beyond overwhelming it does allow her students to be highly knowledgeable on the topics. i never got through all of them but still got good grades. most important is that if u got to her office for any questions especially about papers she will really help you! she's great!
