One of the best teachers I've had for English. She is very caring, very flexible and reasonable with essays and due dates, and even records and uploads her lectures online so if you miss class, you can find them online. She is such a reasonable marker and helps you write really good essays. Not your typical english prof.

She's very kind. Lectures are boring but if you go to her after hours she's got an eye for literature and she can make a change in your essay writing for the long run. Very flexible with due dates and gives amazing feedback on your work. Went from a C to an A. happy to have had her

Carolyn definitely struggles with time management, but she's an incredibly helpful prof. If you don't like group work, be up front and tell her and she will give you solo projects to work on! She's very understanding. You'll have to work hard to get an A+ and be a very skilled writer, but it's not hard to get by with a B.

Carolyn is a great teacher. She just has poor time management, slacks off when it comes to grading your papers; she also grades really hard. We wasted a lot of class time doing group projects, and I can honestly say that because of those group projects, I didn't learn too much. Easy "work" but you need to be cohesive and a incredibly proper writer.

She was very engaging, and clear when explaining assignments. Only with attendance you can gain marks. She is a tough marker to some extent but she is very helpful and when your write a paper you can take to her she will give you feedback on it then you can edit it and submit it.

Amazing professor. Had her in my first term of my first year of university and she was so helpful and wanted me to succeed. Great class, learned a lot. Take her class!!

She makes it well worth it to get up for an 8 am lecture. Cares about how well you do and makes sure you are comfortable with the assignments. Sometimes the lectures seemed irrelevant. but it is still a great class for first year students who have no clue what they are doing.

She was really helpful with everything and fairly easy as far as marking. She also is very good with late assignments and gives some easy ones as well that are good mark boosters. She loves what she is teaching and it shows. Highly recommended

Carolyn is by far the best English professor at Grant Macewan. If you are taking ENGL 103 and are worried about studying literature I would definitely recommend taking her class. She makes the material super easy to understand and she is not a harsh marker. I have yet to write the final so I cannot comment on that, but the midterm was eeeaasssyy
