If you can take this class without taking Dr. Dobris, I say do it. She's just awful. The amount of work that she wants you to do is just so unrealistic. Instructions are not clear and she is a very tough grader. I really wanted to take this class, but not, I regret it. Just so much dang on work for no reason. UGH!

Dr. Dobris is a phenomenal professor. She is easy to talk to and her lectures are very engaging and relevant. You do need to keep up with the reading to do well on her tests. Her course expectations are very clear. She has a really serious RBF, like on another level, but she is actually approachable. She has a lot of knowledge and good examples.

Very tough 8week online class. Papers were not overly difficult but combined with discussions it turned into a lot of work. She makes you work for an A, don't expect to get it unless if you go above and beyond the assignment requirements. Dr. D was helpful and pleasant, but her exams are hard. Would highly recommend her!

She is an absolute delight. At first she seems a bit timid and standoffish but she is very sweet.. and stern at the same time. I respect her a lot. She will talk with you after class to help with anything you don't understand. She is a tough grader but she cares and wants to help her students do better. Very intelligent and interesting.

She's a really good professor and give a lot of feedback. The class was only 8 weeks with assignments that were very much doable, but lengthy although she was very helpful. I would recommend her and take another class with her, she's very good.

Absolutely great professor! Enjoyed her class very much. She had really great input and gave great feedback. You could email her anytime and she would answer any question or concerns you'd have. She also really cared about the students. Textbooks & notes on lectures are essential for passing assignments and exams.

She's very clear with her expectations but she's a very tough grader. Classes went 5-10 minutes over every session, I would not recommend scheduling a class right after hers. Overall I like her as a person but I would never take another class with her and I would warn anyone interested that its not easy.

This was by far the hardest online class I have ever taken. She gave plenty of feedback, but when I applied it to other assignments, I always seemed to get the same grade. The textbook is confusing, and overall just awful. With it being an online class, I expect a textbook that makes it easier to understand key concepts. Did not learn anything.

This class is not easy, and there is A LOT of work with it. Professor Dobris is a hard grader, but is fair. She grades quickly and gives feedback on everything. She constantly reminds you of what is due, but it is sometimes hard to follow because there is SO MUCH. The work and tests are hard-Hardest online class i've taken-But she is upfront & fair

Do yourself a favor and never take her online class. Everything listed on the syllabus is simply the "minimum". If you only do what is assigned you will be lucky to get a C. Tough Tough class.

She was extremely kind and intelligent. The class discussions were lively and she really made the atmosphere feel open. She was willing to work with students. I was going through a hard time when I took this class, and she was more than willing to work with me so that I was still able to finish the semester with a good grade.

Prof. Dobris is awesome. I enjoyed her classes even though there was alot of writing papers but she was very helpful. She shows that she cares about her students. She teaches students how to write professionally which has been helpful in my other courses. I would recommend Prof. Dobris for any COMM course.

AWESOME teacher! Brilliant, interesting and informative. She likes to tell a lot of personal stories that she'll love if you quote in your papers (which there are 7 papers total) This class changed the way I think about so many things.

Dr. Dobris was the best teacher I have ever had!! She make public speaking so interesting and a lot of fun! I really recommend taking the honors course. It's not easy, but she makes it so rewarding! I was so scared of speaking in public before this class, but the new confidence that I gained by taking Honors R110 with Dr. Dobris is amazing!
