DO NOT take her, unless you are interested in English. She is an anal essay marker. I did good, writing an essay in High school, but when I had her it was NOT COOOOL at ALL!!! I agree with whoever that wrote you have to suck up to her and yes, her novels are usually about women/sex/love. Very nice, but if you want a good mark do NOT take her class.

I don't know what the complaints here are about. I'm a science student and wasn't really looking forward to taking any English, but she made it bearable! She marked fairly without a doubt, but I dont know the averages in the class. She was definitely a hotty and whats more, she played some Dead Can Dance for one of the classes! smrt+hot=win

would not recommend her as a prof at all. always preoccupied with other stuff and can't stay on one topic for very long. I don't think I learned anything in that class. She did not help me to improve as a writer. English class in general just seems like a waste of time.

She's a really nice lady..but should NOT be a prof. Her class is soooo boring, she does not teach anything about the texts we studied and she is OBSESSED with Kathy Acker; to the point that it is weird. I do not recommend her class, unless you like boring classes where you don't learn anything.

Often times, several classes were canceled, which can be good & bad. After receiving a recent paper, which worths 40% of the term grade, I am surprised how harsh she marks the essay as if I don't know English at all. WTF? I know my essay may not be as good as others, I certainly don't deserve a C-!
