109 builds on high school english classes, with much overlap. Be prepared to have your writing skills scrutinized to the max. Her lectures were generally interesting, although they did ramble sometimes. Overall, this was one of the most useful courses I've taken in university. It teaches you how to properly write essays for the next 4 years.

This is a very good class if you want to learn how to write properly. Tutorial is the main class you have to attend. The prof is good, she knows what she's talking about. Its a very helpful class

class was fairly good - helps if you've been out of school for some time and want to brush up on your writting skills. She did cover quite a bit in her lectures - but the tutorials are definitly the essential component to attend.
