Comment:

A course about the Story of Stone. 15% of the total mark is based on class debate while most of the time we didn't know what we were talking. An extremely fun class! You can easily see classmates' personalities during the debate and the class discussion. Prof Swatek encourages everyone to talk and it never matters if you say something wrong.

I love her. You can easily tell that she likes what he teaches. She also cares about every student and wishing to build closer relationship. She patiently listened to my ideas even there are silly. A very fair marker, and easy to be reached. She likes to interact with students so she asks many questions in class. Love her!!!

I loved this class because the prof was interesting and she picked great reading materials. Prof Swatek is great because she is very passionate about her subject, but I also find that she is pretty biased in her marking (if you don't agree with her interpretations, you will probably get a bad mark). All in all though, a good class & prof.

Wonderful professor. Very insightful and kind. You can tell how interested she is in the subject she teaches and I may be biased, but I adored her selections for readings. I would definitely take more of her classes if I could.

A very hard marker, and she does not give any mercy. One mistake and your paper is a C or worse. My friend attended every class and tried his very best. Yet, she only gives a passing grade and says that she will fail the work next time. Not helpful at all. Early class and takes attendence every class.

not a good prof at all. she does not know her material well and plays favourites. does not like other ppl's opinions and does not prepare for class. a 1.5 hour class seems more like 10 hours of torture.

Requires memorizing annoying little details and facts from the novels for the final. Far too busy. Didn't get to ask questions in office hour and got kicked out in 10 mins. Didn't cover the last novel properly but expected good analysis in the final.
