She is very fun and happy. I had a class of 100 people and gradually everybody started to not show, so she started to take attendance and gave us assigned seats. You also have to go to 10 concerts, but they are during your regular class period so it isn't bad, they can just be boring.

It is not that this teacher is particularly bad, she just seemed to go about her job like a first timer. At the beginning of the semester attendance was optional, now its mandatory. She spends 20 minutes taking attendance. Dr. Ardrey does not know anything about technology, which is horrible since she looks up videos. Just seems rather confused.

This class is great and an easy A as long as you practice your piano skill. I went in not knowing anything about music or piano but I can read notes now. Ardrey is a nice and helpful teacher, very lenient.

I love Dr. Ardrey, she's the most down to earth professor. I wish I could take her again! Has absolutely HILARIOUS jokes. Grades very easily, easy tests, gives a lot of time consuming homework though. Overall, nothing bad to say about her, take her if you get the chance!

I had her for language of music. She gave only three tests which if you asked a question she would pretty much give you the answers. She is the nicest lady you could ever meet. Easy A! She also made us take 4 performance exams but they were simple (for example one was playing twinkle twinkle little star on the piano)

Ardrey is awesome! She is so enthusiastic and funny. Class piano 1 was a blast with her and very easy. I play piano, so idk how hard it would be for non-piano players, but she's a very easy grader!

I LOVE HER!!! If you want a fun class take Language of Music! You sit at a piano & the first few days you learn very basic piano stuff. She gives extra credit, tests are playing a song-like jingle bells, & you get 2 "free class-skips" She'll make you laugh - she obviously loves her job! Easy(I have a 108%)&Fun!She's made me love music so much more!

She is hilarious!!! Seriously you will laugh all class. As long as you pay attention and don't goof off too much, you should do fine in her class. She grades the piano tests easily, and her tests aren't too bad. She is soo nice, and just all around a great professor.

Dr. Ardrey is great with beginners and children, but she is not very clear about teaching music education and is unprofessional at times. It is very difficult to get in touch with Dr. Ardrey and she often misses class or appointments.

My favorite teacher in the semester I have been here. She's a great teacher, cares about her students, is funny, and tells stories. I played the piano in elementary school, so the class was very easy for me personally. If you have no experience, just study for the written tests and practice 15 minutes a day, and you should get an A. Take her!

Absolutely awful. For music ed majors, this class is required. She is terrible. She does not offer instructions on assignments that are worth a large portion of your grade. She tells you to write a lesson plan and says go. And when you go to her for help, she's useless, only checking her e-mail once a week. INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.....HUH! Dr. is one of the most entertaining teachers in the music dept. She likes to pile you up with busywork, but at you are given clear due dates for projects. Only negative is that lesson plans need to be perfect to get a good grade, and she is sometimes unclear of what she is looking for. Overall a great prof.
