Mrs. Mcvoy is tough. Her class is very challenging, but I really learned a lot about algebra. If you do take her, make sure to visit her for extra help, she always makes herself available and you will benefit greatly. Also, she is a huge stickler for syntax; it's her way or no way!

McVoy was very helpful and committed. If anyone complains about her it is because they didn't want to do any work to be successful. Math is learned with practice. Mrs. McVoy turned the language of math into something understandable. Do not take her course if you don't want to learn math. Her grading was very fair and lenient.

She is very strict. You must follow her formats on the exams or else she will deduct points. Gives a bunch of handouts. The only thing good about her is that she is EXTREMELY helpful. She is willing to show you math problems step-by-step during office hours.

i had her previously for math 21 and even thought she is hard, i found that she helped you in anyway possible. she gives alot of materials. in order to practice, omg tons of hand outs. you dont always have to show up. and ur grade depends on you, dont take her if you don't need it, but if you already get algebra you'll do good in her class

In my opinion she is a great teacher & one of my favorite professors at Abington. I took her twice. She give a lot of work sheet & hand out problems which is really helpful or like guidance for any upcoming tests. If you don't do it then obviously you'll fail. Just do the hw & you'll be fine. Don't take her if you are just plain lazy.

Do all the h.w. and you'll be fine. I'm horrible at math and I passed her class. Problem is she is too anal and take so off points for the dumbest things! I got a 90, 94, 88, and one bad grade (60) but still only got a C in her class, should of been a B or at least C+ Wrote her an e-mail about it, and she never responded. bottom line:AVOID HER!
