Probably the most intelligent professor I've ever had. Lectures are not well organized, but if you take good notes and reorganize his thoughts, you will succeed. He gets you ready for a 4 year institution.

Dr. Bailey is insanely intelligent and knowledgeable. You must study EVERYTHING-lecture notes, assignments, etc. Hard but well worth it.

This guy is extraordinarily smart,but his handwriting is hard to read,his tests are really REALLY hard. his lectures are extremely scattered, the quizzes he gives you to study are useless and what he makes a point of going over in the class isn't on his tests. Even students like myself who are good at history have a hard time passing.

The man is brilliant.That being said he is by far the worst history professor at Suny Adirondack and the worst professor I've ever had.I spent a half hour with him asking questions about the final and everything he told me to study wasn't even on the test. His lectures are very scattered and hard to follow and his handwriting is abysmal.AVOID HIM!

Avoid him at all costs. Everything he tells you to study isn't what's on the test. He gives review sheets that he doesn't follow and it's impossible to read his notes on the board. We have 4 classes left and seven chapters of material to learn for our final. He's a nice guy but is way too scattered.

He definitely knows alot about history, but he is all over the place with his teaching and its impossible to read his hard writing on the board. Also, the grades you get are on tests which are impossible because he doesn't make it clear what you have to study, so unless your a history wiz, you will probably fail this class. Do not take.

Most intelligent professor I've ever had. Teaches History and Religion, helped me tremendously and encouraged me greatly. Best professor at SUNY Adirondack, his notes are awful though, so read read read.

Best professor at SUNY Adirondack. Funny and smart, he makes history come alive. Not an easy class, but if you pay attention and read book you will do fine. Yes, sometimes he gets out of sequence, but if you pay attention you will know right where he is.

Brilliant Professor. Hard to follow. Teaches his Philosophy (comparative religions) as a history class. Don't take if you expect anything other than the history of the religions. Helpful if you ask, but you need to take initiative. Read the book!!!

HE is very intelligent professor. He is very difficult and does not help very much. His notes are all over the place and not always in chronological order. If he is lecturing and realizes he has forgotten something he tries to backtrack and squeeze it in. You will do well if you keep up on the reading yourself and try to make sense of your notes.

I took both HIS223 and GRM101. People tend to say he is difficult or his tests are hard, but honestly read, listen, and apply yourself. It is a breath of fresh air to have a decent, extremely intelligent prof who challenges you to raise the academic bar. If you help yourself, he will do everything to help you. Best prof at ACC.

By far the best history prof at ACC. And surely one of the best at ACC as a whole, which is why he is the only "distinguished professor" here. He is doing us a favor by teaching at a Comm. College, as he deserves to be somewhere better,but those who complain about him deserve to be at a comm. college. Grow up people, its supposed to be a challenge

I took a 3hour night course w/ him. Loooved him! I hated history before this class and he made it so interesting, his notes are sometimes hard to follow but his lectures are incredibly helpful and entertaining, he has a great sense of humor. The tests were some what difficult but straight from the notes. I highly reccommend him.

He is definatley the smartest profesor i've eer had. Pay attention to his lecures and his clss is easy. People who say hes to hard dont apply themseles and if you think his notes are to messy just listen o him. I got an A+ just of his lectures. Best profesor at ACC
