I took 3 courses with him and loved every single one! He is the smartest man I know and awesome to have conversations with. You can talk to him about anything. He knows his stuff and will make the topics seem easy. I HIGHLY recommend taking at least one course with him.

I've taken several classes with Professor Ballard... He is always really helpful and fun to listen too.. He brings in a lot of personal stories. Go to class, listen, study a little and you will do great!! That simple... I took american government, and art with him...

Comment:

Very engaging teacher whose premise is to communicate the topics. If you choose not to he won't pressure you or put you on the spot. On occassion takes opportunity to speak his politics and I feel that forms opinions for the class but if you can tune that part out his class is worth the price of admission. You'll learn and enjoy doing it.

HIGHLY reccomended. Smart man, full of knowledge on almost any topic of life. Abosolute history buff, his lectures will teach you so much by theirself. Pay attention in class and simply memorise the study guides and you will get an A..he just wants good discussion.

His classes are so very easy. If you do well on tests this is the class for you. No homework other than a final paper. Much emphasis on tests. Amazingly intelligent and wonderful to get along with. He is so well rounded and full of info! My best Professor ever!

This class was one of the best. He is very intellingent. His lectures are very good. So is the class. The tests are pretty much the study guides. The only bad part is the paper, the paper itself is not bad, but he is a tough grader, only on the paper.
