I really appreciated Professor Chubb's instruction. While I don't enjoy the compulsory pre-class quizzes, they correspond to necessary reading materials, which are conveyed in a fun and interesting way. The papers we had to write for class were by no means easy, but they definitely made me a better writer.

The quizzes at the beginning of each class can get annoying, and there is a lot of reading to keep up with said quizzes. However, if you do read, the quizzes are a no-brainer, and the tests aren't really that hard. The CPR assignments are time consuming, but if you follow the directions, you'll do well.

2 CPR assignments. Quizzes every class. Midterm and Final. His CPR assignments are very difficult . Overall, class was unhappy about CPRs. Pages to read before each quiz is between 35-50 pages. Study guide before exams, but very long study guides. Must memorize around 15 experiments in detail for each exam. Only take him if you have to. Best.

He is NOT AN EASY A. But an A is def attainable if you study. Gives you a study guide which is very similar to what will be on the test and extremely helpful during office hours. I found the final to be pretty challenging so STUDY for it. Gives two point quizzes on reading which you should do fine if you've read. Material dry but great professor!

His lectures were super boring, I recommend not taking this class at 8am. He gives a study guide before each test that tells u the exact questions that are going to be on it. He is also very flexible with meeting deadlines. Would definitely take another class with him!

Chubb is great, his lectures are interesting and he loves to incorporate a good amount of student discussion during class. He's also extremely helpful during his office hours. Be sure to do the readings and attend class; there is an easy quiz at the beginning of every lecture!

I've taken two of his classes and he's an awesome teacher. Daily quizzes are super easy so attendance is mandatory. Writing assignments are straightforward and if you need help, go to office hours and he helps you alot. He's a genuine and cool person but his class is just plain boring. Stick to the study guide and you'll do fine.

His lectures are boring but a really easy class nonetheless. He's an awesome professor and I'd take him again. He does cater to the bottom of the class but that's just his way of making sure everyone does well. Go to office hours, he helps alot. Essays are straightforward and midterm/final is extremely easy. It's about GRAMMAR!

8 am lecture, but this class was worth it! He is a very clear and engaging professor. Very helpful! Teaches great writing and grammar structure. If you can get him for this class, it's great specially as a psych major because it fulfills upper division writing requirement. Must attend classes because of daily quizzes. Quizzes are not hard at all!

cute old man, but his lectures are boring as hell. go to class to take the quizzes, because they do help. make sure you read all the stuff he tells you to because that's suuuper important for the midterm and the final. overall, the class is pretty easy and straightforward. learn the different experiments for the exams.

He was reallllly boring. I mean he was a nice guy, really wanted you to do well, but he was monotone and blah. He made you take a quiz on the reading everyday. homework was easy, but his test were worded funny, and it made them tricky. if possible, take a different class.

i had no idea what he was talking about for 80% of the class. His lectures are kind of hard to follow (most people are sleeping in class). However his tests are not very hard if you go to discussions and do the study guides, its exactly what's on the test. a lot of people just got A's.

I like the guy. Saying that, he is a little out there - i get the impression that he is off in his imagination while he is lecturing. Could be clearer with his material. Mostly, he caters to the bottom of the class, so it moves slow.

Took his Writing about Memory class. He is an amazing professor. Gives daily quizzes which aren't very hard if you can manage to make it to class on time. Presents the material well & is open to student opinions. I recommend going to office hours as he gives good feedback on papers & he's fun to talk to. HIGHLY recommend this class for UD writing.
