Doesn't actually teach. One of those professors that just goes up to the board and says "This is what you're gonna do for homework" and nothing else.

This professor is basically the most expensive casual group tutor you will ever see. If you can't learn the material completely on your own, avoid his class like the plague. Take it from someone who spent weeks studying for the 3 or 4 tests that make up 90% of your grade and still managed to make a 69 in the class, DONT TAKE HIS CLASS.

Good teacher but with some bothering problems. Talks to himself, a bit on the boring side which if you are an active person that tends to be on the tired side in the mornings you are going to have a hard time keeping awake. Does little teaching more showing examples. For some this works for others not so much. Good teacher if you don't mind boring.

Best math teacher I've ever had. I didn't know calculus really at all when I started his cal 3 class, and he took the time throughout the semester to give me the basic blocks I needed to do the problems. He doesn't grade easy and expects you to know your stuff, but he does go out of his way to help you understand.

Professor Coppin is a very good teacher. A bit hard to understand his teaching methods at the beginning but once you understand the class is easy. He takes his time to explain the material which is helpful and will answer questions if you have any. You will definitely get an A if you do the homework & the review sheet that he gives before the test.

I am former student of Dr. Coppin...from long...long ago. He can be tough, but he is extremely fair. The greatest thing Dr. Coppin taught me was how to think differently and creatively. I learned more in his class than from any other professor. For that I will always be in his debt.

The first few weeks are rough, but once you understand his teaching methods, the class is a breeze. He teaches slow enough to make sure everyone "stays in the boat". If you understand the homework assignments and attend every class, you will be sure to pass. He gives helpful handouts of proofs and formulas.

Very nice man but one of my worst professors. Was very unclear, expected us to teach ourselves outside of class. Too much theory and not enough actual math. Would NOT reccomend.

Linear Point Set was by far the best class I took at UD. Unfortunately Dr C isn't there anymore - a huge loss for them.
