Dahan is an awesome professor! he knows what he is talking about and can be boring sometimes but he makes it interesting. all of the tests in this class are open book and our final is take home! i recommend this class to anyone remotely interested in music or just looking for an easy A.

Professor Dahan does know what he's talking about when it comes to the history of the industry and indie labels. BUT his test's are impossible his final is evil he makes you memorize over 100 songs and who sung them and on what label for the final. Don't even try to go to his office he'll look at you while on the phone and look away. Awful man.

Music and the Marketplace with Charlie was nothing short of a blast. Was funny, interesting, yet amazingly effective at teaching the material from day one. Takes attendance randomly, and you're allowed 3 absences before it hurts your grade. Very easy class to do well in - make sure you take good notes. All his tests are open book and open notes

Dahan is my far my favorite prof at SUCO. His classes are always the highlight of my day. He's very funny and laidback. There is no real homework other than printing and reading articles off the net. Our tests were openbook, and the only major thing you had to do was a powerpoint presentation for 10 minutes in front of the lecture hall.

I took multiple classes with Dehan. After the 1st, I was hooked. This guy made me want to work in music. Super cool guy but also a super great teacher. He makes it hard to fail- just come to class, pay attention and you will pass. His classes are fun and VERY IMPORTANT to your future career in music. So listen to the man, he knows what he's talking about.

Dahan is an easy going guy, and I liked him as a person, but I didn't think much of his classes. To say they were high school level would be a fib. I felt like I was in remedial music each semester, but that's what you get for studying music at oneonta.

I agree that the open book thing is harder than one would think, but then again, the emphasis is on learing not memorization. Dahan is super-smart, super-funny and super-helpful. I cant wait to take 212 with him
