Know that there are 3 mandatory field experiences! TAs try to schedule during class but they can be far away. Course is all on BB, hard to get used to but once you understand how it works it's pretty easy, but a lot of work. He writes the lectures, they can get confusing but as long as you don't argue against religion or charters, you'll be okay.

This course was an online offering, but the knowledge and experience of Dr. Glenn was obvious. In addition, he is more than willing to point you in the right direction for research. The TA, Cara Stillings, who is working with Dr. Glenn is cut in this mold and is also dedicated to the field.

If you leave this class without understanding its pertinence to your career, you might want to reconsider teaching. Glenn is absolutely spectacular - one of the most intelligent (and nicest) professors I've had in all four years at BU. Props to his TAs as well. I didn't get the grade I expected, but I don't care. This class was superb.

Worst professor I've ever had at BU. He is confusing, doesn't give out a syllabus until it is too late, does not understand his own grading system, condescending and full of himself. Did not learn anything in this class that will be useful to me as a teacher.

Really, really nice guy. He's got great stories and he leads a good discussion. The readings were dense, but I'm learning so much. He really cares about his students and he is open to disagreement with his ideas...but his ideas are generally good.

Definitely the most extreme case of where I've liked the teacher and absolutely hated the class. Glenn's very nice and well-informed, but the class is poorly structured and the readings are TERRIBLE.
