Dr.Hurst you know the only reason you haven't been fired is because you are tenure, but if you weren't you be sacked like a bad coach. Only a few classes left in my degree, but this was the worst class of my life. He didn't grade papers or respond to emails for months then told us he was going to weight the final heavy since our assignments weren't any good anyways. He will often write assignment requirements multiple times but different each time. Inconsistent across the board.

Well I know most of the people here that have had Professor Hurst was in a classroom setting. I am currently enrolled in his online class & honestly he seems like a good professor. He's very helpful & extremely flexible on due dates for assignments. He makes it very clear what he looks for in assignments. My advice PAY ATTENTION to his instructions

I beg of you never take his class I am a A-B student and I got a D in this class. I did not deserve that grade and I am now in the process of an appeal. He is unclear and seems very confused. He also shows much favoritism. NEVER TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM!!!

Hurst really is the worst. Doesn't elaborate on anything, won't answer your questions, rude, outrageous, and mean. He makes everyone feel stupid, your answers are never suffice: he needs to get fired. So many people have complained about him but apparently he is tenured.. Avoid at all costs! Dr. Hurst is a very nice and wise man, however I don't know what method he uses to grade de class. You can get A's all semester long and end up with a C+ at the end. He might ignore you, your questions and your presence. Lots of work to make the Business Plan for his class. Read acronoms before class too, he will suddently ask you.

This professor was the worst professor I have ever had period. Dont try to anserw his questions he will pick on people individually to anserw, and if he picks you he expects your anserw to be verbadom to what the texts says. He never goes over any chapters in the book but expects you to know them for the exam. Hes all over the place in classHORRIBL

For an intro class, he expects a lot of his students. It is not an easy A, but receiving an A is possible with hard work. He is grumpy and very difficult to understand. His lectures do not cover material that appears in the mid term and final exams. If you want to do well on the exams, READ THE TEXT. That being said, he does curve exam grades.

He is HORRIBLE, no knowledge of the field and useless in terms of helping a student's learning curve. His assignments are outrageous, lots of writing that he does not read. Tons of complaints have been place on his behalf, nothing is done, must be nice to be tenured b/c he needs to RETIRE or learn how to relate to his students.

I'm torn. As a person, I like Dr. Hurst, and I learned in his class. However, his grading seems arbitrary and at times inexplicable, and there is little explanation. I wound up with a good grade in his class, but could have had better with some feedback. Will sometimes become hostile when asked questions, getting on his good side early is a plus.

Requires a lot of work, but it's doable. Definitely requires you to be mature about how you do your work, and how you prioritize. Definitely ambiguous about instructions and grading - you need to make sure you get everything in writing! Stay on his good side from day 1 and you can't go wrong.

He's awful, if you're a go-getter, this is not the class for you. Grading is completely ambigious, his clarity on assigments are awful, and he has no business teaaching anymore, simply too old.
