Because he has years of industry experience, Professor Lovas made a conscious effort to pass along knowledge relevant to a career in engineering. He made sure that our class had a basic understanding of the Heat & Mass transfer phenomenon before moving on the excruciating details of the subject.

I had lovas for machine design and really liked the way the class was taught. He's very open in class but will not hesitate to laugh at a student who asks a dumb question. We had pop quizzes at the start of the semester but then it just went to test grades only.

this was the easiest class i ever took!! at the end of each chapter in the handbook there are multiple choice and t/f questions with the answers. these are the test questions! just go over them before the test, and you will get an A. just make sure you go to class, he does take attendance.
