Comment:

Odoom is a friendly and funny guy but that's pretty much where the positives end. His "textbook" is awful and it was a waste of my money, its confusing and he doesn't explain the concepts. The tests/quizzes consisted of graphs he didn't explain very well in class. Finally, his teachings aren't in line with other textbooks/definitions. Good Luck.

WORST PROF EVER! Doesn't teach u anything that's actually on weekly quizzes! Had to learn everything myself/on youtube. His ebook and teaching sucks, is confusing to understand, and not relevant to what is on the quizzes. The opportunity cost for being in this class is unfortunate. Goodbye gpa! TAKE SOMEONE ELSE! :(

Never took econ before so it was hard! 1)Had to buy his ebook. It's irrelevant to what he teaches+confusing to read 2)Jumps from chp to chp so idek what the quizzes were on the most of the time! Marked:weekly open-book mcq quizzes 30%, midterm 30%, final 40%. Or u can exempt ur midterm for 70% final. Going into final w 65% rip. Funny guy but avoid!

Tests were not too bad but his teaching style is unclear and all over the place. He will go over 1 topic then switch to another topic and then back with no clear connection between the 2. Overall, very forgiving marker and gives marks if you understand the main points on what he is teaching

Mr. Odoom is so funny and caring! If he makes a mistake he will fix it as soon as possible and always wants the best grades for his students. If you explain to him why you think your answer is correct he will usually just give you a mark. He is also very easy to talk to and will explain ideas over again without getting annoyed!!

never take. professor doesn't know what he is teaching. worst grader and unclear explanations of things. He describes it in his "own ways" which is different than all other economists and forces us to use it.

The worst prof I had at Douglas. 1. Hard-to-understand lectures. 2. He forced us to buy his own ebook - the worst economics book ever, & to do assignments in Econlab, you have to read Parkin's book. So it's expensive for the materials. 3. Assignment every week. 4. No slideshow. He just showed the some pages of his book or wrote on the board.

super awful, he recommended his book which honestly is not relevant to what he teaches. He gives assignments and expect you to complete in next 7-8 hours regardless you have classes or not after his class. lects not clear. He is a really tough grader. In 10 mars questions 7 are just for graph which he never explained. Save urself take somewhere els

Irrelevant lectures, heavy homework which count for overall marks but many concepts in the HW his doesn't mention(both his lecture and e textbook) at all. Fail easily and impossible to get high marks. Think twice before you take this course.

I worked on Mondays so I could not come to class. This professor was patient enough to sit with me and go through what I missed, knowing the finance problems I had. He was like a private tutor but he helped with smile on face all the time, a real gem.
