A great lecturer, but his tests were somewhat difficult. Tests are every other week and a cumulative final a couple of days after the last test. The homework consists of quizzes on every chapter, so it forced you to read, Inquisitive which was also very helpful to prepare for the test, and Zaps. The class isn't an easy A, but he provides a curve.

Chapter tests are given every other week. Makes it easier to stay on top of things. His tests are very application based rather than memorization. He does curve which is nice. Overall, I wouldn't take him again. Last chapter test was given Friday of Week 10 and the CUMULATIVE final was that Wednesday. Avoid if possible.

This class isn't bad at all if you enjoy psychology and are willing to put in effort. There are tests biweekly and quizzes every chapter you read. As tedious as it sounds, it's really not that hard and it keeps you in check. He offers EC that raises your grade by one level (B+ to A-). Tests can be tricky but as long as you study, it should be easy.

tbh this class felt like HS. 5 chapter tests, cumulative final, online hw system reading quizzes, iclicker. Sounds like a lot but I felt like it was well-paced and kept me from procrastination! Lowest scores & stuff from each section dropped, EC and big curve on final. Tests were reasonable. Discussion isn't mandatory! He's knowledgable & nice.

He knew what he was talking about and taught well enough, but the layout of the class was the stressful part. Chapter test every other Friday and a cumulative final a few days after the last chapter test. It was a lot, but working for it made it descent. And there was a pretty generous curve. Got an 81 on the final and that was an A

Hes smart, and knows what hes talking about. I dont dislike him, I actually enjoyed going to his class and the chapter tests are fair as they get. But a cumulative final is just too much, that final really ruined it for me. Great idea to have Exam on Week 10 and a final 5 days later!

Prob your worst choice of professor in the intro to psych series. He makes the class harder then it should be. Attendance is mandatory, and he speaks in monotone. Test heavy (very application based). His only pro is that he releases grades fast and of course with a pretty terrible grading scale.. pain in ass class, avoid if can.

Honestly, could not recommend this professor enough. He truly cares about you as a person and is very kind during office hours, never condescending. Not going to lie, there's a good amount of work involved with the class. Some online assignments and lots of reading. Worth it. It's easy if you do the work and go to lecture. TAKE HIM. One of the best

He is a great teacher who really knows his subject. Has easy online quizzes after assigned readings to make sure we do them. Inquisitive really helps before the chapter tests. 5 chapter test (honestly better than 2 midterms) and 1 final. He really cares about your feedback and asks lots of i clicker questions to keep it interesting.

His tests are incredibly hard and on very specific details from the readings and lectures. He drops the lowest score from most categories which is nice, but doesn't make up for how unreasonable the tests are.

Prof Wright makes psychology interesting he is very lecture heavy and does not do much class participation. His test is usually worded funny so do not get tricked and adjust accordingly. He gives four chapter test and then one final. I like his teaching technique but you do have to read and you do have to study hard for his test (most analogy).

One of the best professor in UCI. As a student, especially as a undergraduate student, you must know what to do in your future. Professor Charles can inspire your interest in the field of psychology. He encourages you to read book by reading quiz. If you just want to be a lazy learner, DO NOT take this class. If you want to get knowledge, TAKE IT.

Instead of midterms there are individual chapter tests, which actually made it easier to study for the final in the long run. Tests are not that difficult as long as you read the textbook and pay attention in lecture, although some questions are definitely tricky. Lecture attendance is mandatory due to iClicker points.

He is very into the subject matter which helps make the class more fun but its a really tough class. His tests are REALLY hard. He's a cool guy but NOT an easy A by any means. Class was very curved. I had a C- before the curve then ended up with a B+.

Professor Wright is very passionate about the subject he teaches. This class is definitely a lot of work because there is so much reading and a chapter test every 2 weeks(total of 5 chapter tests). Keep up with the readings, and I recommend doing the reading and lecture questions as you're reading. Homework assignments are not very difficult.

The class consists of many components. You must use an iClicker for at least 75% of the questions to get full participation. You must do all the ZAPs activities and textbook (& other) reading. MIDTERMS EVERY OTHER WEEK. I loved this class but I'm telling you, it was not easy. HE'S AMAZING BUT HE'S GOT NO CHILL. DON'T TAKE IF U DON'T LOVE PSYCH.

I really wanted to enjoy this class, I really did. The tests are 25 questions, so you have very little room for error. The problems on the tests are tricky to the point of being unreasonable. The lectures are nearly unrelated to the topics being covered in the texts, which can be annoying. Not the hardest class, but also not enjoyable.

PSYCH 9B with professor Wright was very straightforward. He gave one chapter test every two weeks covering the most recent material, which really helped me to learn the stuff we covered. Final was cumulative and was pretty tough, but the extra credit helps balance out any bad scores.

The lectures are long, confusing, and do not correlate with the book whatsoever. The study guides (theres two for each of 5 chapter tests) are about 30 questions each, and a cumulative final. You've got over material more than should be necessary, and he should realize theres a problem when he has to provide a massive curve. Would never take again

For a GE it was a lot of work. His study guides for his chapter tests (which are every other week) are about 50 questions for the reading and 30 for lectures. Doing one or the other will not cut it! His lectures are different from the readings. Lectures can feel long and dull.
