Great professor, but if you are not a good writer, it'll be tough. I made all A's so it is possible but don't just rely on peer editing, go to him or the writing lab for help. He assigns short papers, so over all the class is pretty laid back and easy.

Though he comes off as apathetic with a "why in God's name am I here?" look, I find Geer fascinating. He keeps his writing workshop interesting. I'd also screw him if I were given half the chance.

Horrible professor. I was an english major until I took his class. He comes in hungover frequently and sometimes doesn't even show up. He has a very strict attendance policy and is an extremely biased grader: if your opinion disagrees with his, you will most likely fail the paper. He also has quite a temper. Do not take him!!!

Easy grading, a few quizzes and tests. A typical 101 class. Geer came in hungover more often than not.

Really great teacher, very clear with directions. Class can get boring, but if you turn it into a discussion it's fine. I would take him again without a doubt. It's fairly easy if you do the work and you learn a lot about your own writing abilities.

He expects his students to be on a similar level as he is. His classes can get boring, but he laughs at himself just as much as you would if you knew you were boring 20 some kids. He's slightly apathetic, but what writer isn't? I'd take him again, no quesiton.

Great teacher and nice guy. Grades harshly yet fairly and is very clear on what he wants in the papers. Not hard to get an A or B if you read the stories, don't fall asleep in class too often, and write decently. Plus, he's always willing to help if you're having touble. However, don't ever be late to class--he'll freak out, but in a funny way.

Geer is a WIERD guy. He grades papers very strictly. The whole class is based on writing papers on stupid topics he assigns from the reading. His quizzes are easy. Not very helpful outside the classroom. Makes random statements that are kind of funny. He is an ok person, but not the greatest teacher. There is something sexy about him, i must say.

Mr.Geer is an excellent english professor. His class is very structured- you have a mini-quiz each class on the homework. You have 5 papers in the whole semester- each of which you go through a peer evaluation class period. I think he is extremely fair in his grading. Most approachable via e-mail or office hours.

This class is so amazingly HARD!! I do not recomened at all. He grades papers extremely harshly and he pays complete attnetion to every detail of the paper. If you do take this class then make sure that you read all of the assgnments carefully cause he gives a quiz on almost all of them He is not very approchable at all and don't ever be late.

Beware! Do not let these comments fool you like how they did me. Yes, Mr. Geer grade papers VERY strictly. The class is mainly reading many short stories and writing about what the author was thinking when he wrote it or the style of the paper. Mr. Geer is also not approachable; he has this arrogant swagger about him. P.S. donĂ¢€™t show up late to cla

first off, he's not hot. his class isn't hard but he grades papers based on his own little "i know how to edit things" book, doesn't give 80's or 90's just letter grades.

Funny laid back man but strict on papers, so put all effort into them. Easy to talk to about problems with grading, so don't be afraid. Reading is fairly easy, and tries to keep the lecture entertaining.
