Poorest professor I've ever had; Disorganized; Does not set clear expectations; If there is a disagreement - she is right, facts do not seem to matter; Does not seem to be able to relate to anything outside her purview; She knows what she expects, the problem comes from the inability to clearly explain expectations to students. - Wordy Jargon

DO NOT TAKE HER. Our class has gone several times to randy snow about how awful she is. Completely unclear about assignments and then grades them rediculously

Very hard professor. She expects a lot. You must work! I had her for graduate classes and I needed to work! I learned more under her than most any other professor I ever had! Wonderful lectures. If you show that you care she will go to any extent to assist you. Very good professor if you are interested in learning!

Work hard on the essays and papers; the more independent and higher level thinking the better. She's interested in the subject and brings in cool guest speakers. Some people were frustrated by her grading.

Do not take Cheryl Beverly, I am an education major and she was extremely unhelpful and I can even see her as a deterrent for those potentially interested in becoming an education major. She never uses the textbook that cost $120 and her lectures make you want to die. Attendance mandatory.

She has good intentions, but most of the students, including myself, were often frustrated by the assignments. Her directions are often north of ten pages long, but she cannot communicate her expectations either in written directions or orally in class. Nobody knew what was due or what she wanted, and she graded harshly. =(

This class was completely disorganized and unclear. She would say to do an assignment one way, then grade a totally different way. However, she tries to be available to her students AFTER class, never during. The class is 3 hours long, so i suggest you try to find another teacher, it's hard to sit through.

under no circumstances should you take this class. well, actually, i take that back. if you do not understand irony, take her class. she is paid to teach us how to be good teachers, and she's terrible at it. this class is unparalleled in its pointlessness and lack of clarity. if you do sign up for it, good luck.

Worst educ professor I have ever had. I am not a disgruntled student; I did well in the class. She is boring and unclear about every single assignment. Her class is a huge waste of time.

She is slightly unclear about expectations and very inconsistent. She tends to bunny trail and is very boring. She told me that I would probably never make it as a Special Educator...I have been teaching for 4 years and run the EMI Program at my school! I appreciated the encouragement to prove her wrong. If you don't have to take her, DON'T!

She is a horrible teacher! How is she still teaching at JMU? Her classes made me want to change my major. She was very unclear and didnt even know her students names after having them for several classes. She was disrespectful and her assignments were long and worthless. Busy work all the time!

She was absolutely the worst professor I've ever had. She never told us what she expected from us and had no idea what was in her own syllabus. She's really unclear about every assignment and was unable to answer any questions about them. Don't take her classes unless you absolutely must and even then my suggestion would be to CHANGE YOUR MAJOR!

at first i thought she had a sort of snooty attitude, but now realize its just her personality and she doesnt mean anything by it. 3 hr discussions, sometimes very interesting. she is very unclear about assignments. read the syllabus. just pay attention and you'll do fine in this class.

This class easily could have been interesting, however it was the biggest waste of time. The assignments are stupid and pointless, but easy. We did have some good discussions, but these were never started by her - they were always started by students instead. Take another prof. if you can...

The class, while fairly boring for 3+ hours a week, isn't too bad. It can be very interesting. She grades too hard and is NOT clear on assignments, but if you keep up with the syllabus without expecting her to help you should be fine. i'm expecting an A or B

Not that hard to get an A in as long as you pick ur groups carefully and put forth the effort. Make her laugh, u will become one of her favorites, as I did. Nice and understanding to emergency situations, not a dick like some proffs are about those things. Do the community activities and turn stuff in on time and U will be set for at least a high B

She plays favoritisms to the students in the class. If you are not one of her favorites, don't worry about getting an "A" in the class. Doesn't do anything during the first half of the semester, stacks all the work at the end. Be prepared not to get graded assigments back on time! Grade time Surpris
