He's not that bad. At all. He knows what he expects from his students, you just have to adapt to that. If you go into this class wanting him to change for you, you're going to be miserable. If you really have an issue, just go and talk to him. He's always looking for feedback but no one ever actually gives any. He'll work w you if you talk to him

Liu is Chinese, and has an accent. If you can't easily understand accents do not take him. He lectures, but also expects heavy participation. But, he will raise your grade if you are active in the class. He has expectations. You have to be flexible and try to understand what he's asking for.

No papers. Only a few exams but they are very tricky and hard. His first exam averaged a 73 for the entire class. No homework. One group project but doesn't count for more than 10%. Stay on top of your grade because people were surprised with his grading style and tricky exams. Interesting lectures but his accent can be tough sometimes.

The people who complain about this course have never showed up to class, are sociology majors and or lack common sense. One of the easiest classes i've ever taken because he explains everything so well, all you have to do is show up and take notes. TESTS ARE DIRECTLY FROM THE NOTES. I love this man, he inspires me so much. Take him

Ok this professor sucked ! His english is so hard to understand you will never know what he is saying. he gives long boring lectures that honestly make no sense. I have no idea what is his problem he is super nice but doesn't know how to teach. gives one group project & three test. he doesn't help , he says you have to figure it out. I HATED IT

He is an incredible teacher. He cares for his students and wants them to do well. If you have a question before the test, he will go over it until you understand it. After tests he meets with the students one on one to discuss their grades. I loved having him as a professor.

Dr.Liu was the one of the best professor I have ever met. Although sometime i have hard time understanding him, he is a very devoted and helpful professor. I enjoy taking his class and i have learned a lot from him. The 3 tests were easy if you study his notes.

Awful. For example: While presenting our final projects in class, he sat in the back of the room. During one presentation, we looked back and noticed that he was asleep. Can barely understand him and he makes no effort to help his students understand what he considers to be mistakes. So sad that he is tenured.

He was unclear sometimes when he spoke, but he wrote everything out for us and put it on the projector. He did a lot of examples and asked if we understood it a million times. Also we had a lot of meetings with him. Hes nice if you just make him let loose a little. (But I didn't et my grade back yet either)
