The best chem teacher you could ask for! He explains the concepts very well, so when it comes time for finals, better know it all! ) He makes the most difficult concepts seem easy, but it is still a challenge to do the work solo. He already has a grading curve from the start. I love that he doesn't grade clicker questions for accuracy!

He makes class interesting, which helps you learn the subject better. Highly recommend for any chem course.

He make chemistry fun when chemistry is not fun. Although I struggled in this class it wasn't because of him he did an amazing job teaching this course. This class in general requires a lot of work just to pass.

Easy class. Do homework assignments and come to class and you'll get at least a B. He grades on a different scale so if you get a typical B its actually an A on his scale.

Dr. Nichols is my favorite! His lectures never get boring. He's such a great character and always happy! Although he's great at explaining things, chemistry is a hard class, so if you're not a genius I would recommend getting a tutor or going to his office hours. Also, he's a very generous grader!! Another reason to take his class ;)

He is an amazing teacher. He is very entertaining. He lectures are easy to understand. To study for his test study your notes and the practice test. If you are ever confused go to his office hours and he will explain the problem to you in multiple ways till it makes sense. (this class maybe harder if you haven't taken chemistry before)

Had him with 111, 270 and now 370. So far he is my favorite teacher at Chico, and I've been there for 2 years. You can tell he really wants his students to succeed. Explains things thoroughly and will be happy to stop and answer questions along the way. I recommend Nichols 100% especially with all the horror stories of some of the other chem profs

Chemistry is a difficult subject. It's my major and I say that... But he does an excellent job of teaching the class. He's very clear in explaining material and understands that we are students, not experts. He's very helpful during office hours. Ask for help with anything and you'll get it. Friendly guy, generous grading scale. Highly recommend

Creates a great environment in the class room. Funny yet extremely knowledgeable. I love how I can ask him any question and receive a simple answer. Also he is very very organized. Doesn't procrastinate in the least bit. Exams and homework are graded and handed back by the next class! The material you need to know is apparent. Highly recommended.
