Comment:
Cheerful, bright, and very knowledgeable, Chris Opio genuinely tries his best to instruct and help students in his class. However, he does not post any content or readings online, and occasionally asks questions the class won't know the answer to, then waits for their response. Still, an easy class with a friendly professor.

Very nice and warm guy. Would say hi to you on the street. Appears to be an absent minded professor type, but is actually pretty smart. However, his classes are much t0o easy and "dumbed-down" he needs to hold students to higher standards in order to give us the education we need.

He knows nothing practical, in the realm, of forestry. Maybe he should stick to teaching INTS****head courses where he gets his ass kissed on a regular basis. Challenge his assumptions or his methods and he flips. Poor example of a Prof. Gives the profession, if you can call it that, a bad name! I hope that I never see this dumb-ass again.

This will be one of my ints classes at UNBC that I will always remember. Chris was a thoughtful and very compassionate prof, and I learned alot from his first hand experiences regarding international development and theory. I loved hearing about Africa.

...and de water buffalo, the thorns dont hurt until you come down...the course was ok. The pfro and the TA can't aggree on content which makes exams very hard. Needs to focus on Canada, no Africa.

Very fun class. I don't know how not squeezing my legs together while climbing the spiny tree getting away from buffalo is goign to help my career but its an entertaining class. Great stress reducer. I'd say my favorite prof at teh university. I'd recommend this class to anyone who likes the outdoors

It is beyond me that this guy can measure anything, let alone teach people ablout measurements. Get off of the Africa kick and teach me something that I will actually use in the field in my career. Waste of time and money, that is all you will ever be remembered for after this years class.

This guy is confused by the simplest of thoughts and ideas. He is the prime example that anyone can get a PhD. Exams are a joke, since he cannot word questions clearly and the marking scheme is such that a crystal ball must be used in the process.

Really interested in stufents and kind of goofy at times. A really nice guy. Knows his stuff, but they seem to give him the shaft on classes.
