Professor Origer is a great professor. I learned a ton in his class. The class is great - he encourages strong and struggling writers, alike. He grades fairly, quickly, and gives a lot of feedback. You do have to read the material, and he expects you to take the class seriously. Seriously, take his class.

Dr. Origer was so inspirational, kind and fun. It's so obvious that he sincerely cares about his students and wants them to do well. The assignments could take some time, but they were enjoyable. I walked out of that class with some great material that I am very proud of, and I owe it - in part - to Dr. Origer!

Professor Origer is an excellent professor and person, and one of my personal favorites at this college. He's funny, patient and knows his stuff well. The class is very writing-heavy (to be expected), but he grades fair, and offers good feedback. Would definitely recommend taking him if you need a writing emphasis class.

Tough grader, but he is the nicest professor i have ever had. He doesn't make you feel stupid if you say something dumb. The entire class time is a discussion, so always do the reading. Overall, my favorite professor this semester.

The man is a wondrously kind and intelligent soul. As long as you're showing effort and participating in discussion, you will do well. It is pertinent that you hand in your works as well, but truly, why take the class if you're not willing to do some creative writing? I've never enjoyed a class, nor prof, more.

Great professor. Doesn't give a ton of homework. Reading the short stories are essential to passing. Since he doesn't give much homework, participation matters. He is very funny and willing to help if you ask. Overall, a pretty easy class if you put in the effort and don't fall behind with your work.

You must read all the assigned reading which isn't a lot. Syllabus is very clear. He usually assigns 2 stories for each class and you must read the stories before coming to class. Class time is all discussion and entertaining. Do the homework he assigns every few weeks, it will affect your grade.

He gave us short essays to read for homework, then During class we would discuss what we read and how we felt. We were always thinking and listening to everyone else's perspectives. You can tell when a professor really cares about what you have to say and it makes you feel important as a student. Would take him again if I had the opportunity.

He is incredibly nice, he will work with you as much as possible. Make sure you're keeping your line of communication open with him. Be on time to class, too! Class discussions, which are all on readings to be done prior to class, are very thought provoking and interesting.

By far one of the best Professors I've had. Engaging and thought provoking. Assignments are selected readings that are discussed in class. You MUST do the readings and show up on time - not too much to ask in my opinion. Grading is heavily weighted towards class participation. You can theoretically fail all of the tests and still get a B.

Grading is rough and a point system is used so you have no idea how good or bad your doing throughout the course. Classes are 95% of the time just group discussions on readings given.
