Prof Schneider went off on so many tangents that I felt I never knew what was relevant to the class. Enthusiastic, but not a great explainer.

Dr. Schneider is an excellent lecturer who really shows interest and passion in his class. Likewise, Schneider's very approachable and is open to questions and comments. He does have a lot of material on his slides so just pay attention and copy any missed notes via the website after each lecture.

Dr. Schneider is a great professor! He is clearly passionate about evolution, and he works with students to make sure they're getting a lot out of the class. Exams are straightforward, from lecture. Two scientific papers that take some effort but are interesting to write. Did not use the textbook AT ALL.

Great professor, can tell he's interested and knows the topic. Taught more of origin of life and less evolution which was nice. Exam was right on the lecture, his PowerPoints were easy to take notes on.

Genuinely cares about the material he's teaching. Pay attention to cladistics and phylogeny and you should be set. Nice guy and if you put the effort in, you'll do fine.

Evolution is really interesting, and Schneider is a great professor, but there is just wayyyyy too much crammed into this single semester course.. aka this is not an easy class. To do well, attend all of his lectures and take good notes -- and WORK YOUR BUTT OFF ON THE TERM PAPER. If you do well on that, you can really pull up your grade.

A nice easy going guy. Will always take the time to stop and explain something if it is not understood. Very fair. concepts of evolution can be abstract at times, try and read the book to clarify the main points of the lectures and start your term paper early.

His lecture time was cut short, so his shortened exam was definitely the easiest out of the four(although his past exams were known to be harder). His voice is very calm and soothing so it's difficult to stay awake at times. Just listen to what he says and the exam should be fine.

Though lectures were boring at times, the class overall was interesting. Test material was straight from lectures, and was definitely one of the easier BI 107 tests.

He's NOT boring--I found the lectures on the origins of life to be fascinating; if you don't like bio then you probably shouldn't be a doctor. Is way more cohesive than Wasserman. Make sure you understand cladistics, phylogeny and parsimony for the tests, and you are set.
