Honors. Awesome personality. Super lively & really qualified. Really positive/helpful. Gives constructive criticism. Fair-to-slightly-easy grader. She'll make you a better speaker and won't make it horrible, since most people hate speaking. Don't buy the textbook, you'll rarely open it & it costs a ton. 2 short papers but they're easy. Love her.

Dr. Arnold is by far the best teacher at UF! She is so energetic and funny that she makes it enjoying to come to class. She only allows 25 students in her class; therefore, it is alot of fun and more personal. She always knows how to make anyone's days brighter. Her tests aren't hard and its a beneficial class that should be mandatory for everyone!

Dr. Arnold is my favorite professor at UF, she is so funny and energetic. Love her sense of humore. She always tries to make students stay awake during her class, and the exams aren't hard...kind of similar to the exam review. Definitely recommend this class for everyone.

If you have to take a speech class, take it with her. She prepares you for your speeches, and if you at least try to do well, you will at least get a B in the class. The exams are pretty easy. Just don't wait until the night before to write your speech, because she can tell. Amazing professor! If I had to take it again, I would take it with her!

She is extemely energetic and funny. She is very enthusiastic and knowledgable on the subject. Only bad thing is, she critiques super tough on speeches (even if you do really good) which makes it hard to get a solid A. If you want an A on your speeches, you may want to take a different teacher, if you to learn ALOT and improve, take Dr. Arnold!

Pre-Med speaking: Dr. Arnold is an awesome lady...very expressive and loud! She keeps you interested in lectures as well. She will remember what you need to improve on though, and look for it in your next presentation. Gives great feedback on speeches, but considers B's "good grades" so consider that if that's an issue for you.

If you're afraid of public speaking, take Dr. Arnold's class. She's a good speaker herself, and keeps the class's attention well during lecture. She also teaches great methods and strategies for speeches. Highly recommended!

Do not take Dr. Arnold's Listening class. She is an entertaining educator but her exams are tricky if you don't study. You definitely need to put in serious study time to memorize all the parts of the ear and other basic listening/hearing vocab. Personally, mid-way through the semester, I lost motivation to attend the pointless class.

I definitely didn't want to take this class, but her cheery nature made it a little easier to sit through. The biggest problem I had was that we heard after each set of speeches that they were so good, yet our grades never seemed to improve over our first speech grades, and in some cases, got worse! I worked my ass off and only got a B+. Whatever.

Dr. Arnold is a great, animated teacher who helps you improve on public speaking. However, I worked my butt off only to receive a B in the class, b/c she doesn't give out A's easily. I was very disappointed by that. I think I deserved a higher grade.
