Christi is my favorite teacher at state, hands down. Her knowledge is definitely based in Castillian (Spain) Spanish, but she makes a definite effort to be thorough when talking about Spanish-speaking cultures. She's always enthusiastic and encouraging. Best dressed professor as well!

LatAm lit class in English. There was a lot of reading but I learned SO much - everything from Mex-US history to Chicana writers! Christi was enthusiastic, knowledgeable & always made the material interesting. Best class and best professor I took at State. I heard she's coming back - take a class!

Extremely well prepared & always challenged you to think for yourself. There was 1 topic that I was actually nervous to attend class over (abortion), but she handled it with true fairness & clarity. She presented both sides equally & challenged us to think about the social/econ issues behind each.
