Overall a good prof who is very generous in terms of grading. He goes through each reading assigned during class and highlights important ideas well. Gives a few easy quizzes based on the readings throughout the semester, but usually gives a warning. Prepare to be bored, although that's to be expected with an English course.

Dr. Riegel was an amazing English 100 prof! He is clear with assignment outlines and marking expectations. He will go out of his way to help you with writing if you are struggling. He gives you lots of writing tips in class and has a great sense of humour! Loved his class and would definitely take another from him.

Probably the most student-minded prof I have had. Understands what it is like to be a student. His expectations were so straight-forward and clear. The class was interesting but I personally found that is voice would sometimes drift into monotone making it harder to pay attention. But as a prof he really impressed me.

Christian's class was lovely. It was experimental, first time ever taught, and I think he did a wonderful job. He is an easy marker, so it's not hard to get an amazing grade in his class. Or at least he was for this class. I would definitely take more of his classes, for the sheer fact of how interesting they are.

Great Prof. Dr. Riegel makes english as enjoyable as it can be. He makes time for students outside of class and responds to emails quickly. There is opportunity for bonus marks and he truly wants his students to do well.

Very passionate, funny, practical. Not pretentious at all, which is a little unheard of in this particular discipline. He's kind of insanely handsome, which just makes class more fun!

Excellent professor. I absolutely hated English after 100. After his 110 class, I decided to major in it. Very passionate and makes class interesting. Reads through novels with the class, emphasizing all the important parts. Teaches how to write a proper essay easily. Will definitely be taking another class from him.

good class. i think it was made so good by the ppl in it, but dr riegel is good too. you can do well in the class, especially for an english class. show up to class though. and when writing your papers, use quotes!!!!! recommend taking an english class from him anytime!
