Comment:
She is a very hard professor, but she majorly prepares you for graduate school. She actually shows you what they expect from you at a graduate level, and she is willing to work with you to get you there. Most people have an issue with her because of this, because she doesn't baby you. She treats you as a grad prof. would teach you. Great professor!

A lot of people complain about Dr. Sinisi, but I am very thankful that I had the privilege of having her. She lets you know what to expect in graduate program and prepares you for it. I never left any of her classes without learning something. Most people complain about her toughness, but that is the reason I am doing so well in graduate school!

If I had to use one word to describe Dr. Sinisi, it would be Condescending. However, I can use multiple words, soo: Condescending, Egocentric, Unhelpful, etc.. She belittles any for of religion that isn't Lutheranism. Tread cautiously when speaking about scripture.

Comment:
Dr. Sinisi is very condescending and makes every opportunity to express her feminist opinions in lecture. I am a student that is passing her class. Her tests are subjectively designed, therefore it is hard to challenge her grading system. She has lost parts of my test and then accused me of being dishonest about completing the whole test.

Christina Sinisi is a tenured employee at Charleston Southern so whatever she does will be backed by the department head. She's very condescending, egotistical, and vendictive. Get on her bad side and she will find a way to fail you.

Comment:
Lectures are okay. But the review before the test is useless. It makes everyone more confused. Nothing she puts on Jeopardy is even on the test so we study the wrong things. Doesn't own up to her mistakes a lot of times. She lost my paper and gave me a D in the class. Goodbye 3.0... I hate leaving bad reviews but she was one of the worst

Took her for 4 Psych classes. 80+ PP slides of info on each test, often ridicules questions w/sarcasm, requires book but PP lectures are adequate. Often talks down to students but is available for appt in her office. Gives her parenting advice (extreme) & passes off herself & kids as superior, lectures gravitate toward this-

She is the worst possible professor! I would never recommend her to anyone! Her tests are ridiculous, the essays are even worse. Never answer her in class questions because she will laugh at you and then proceed to make fun of you! She thinks its fun to watch people fail and not try to help them out at all!

I had her for many classes, and like most people on here, I think she's absolutely ridiculous! Unfair, biased, unorganized, goofy, are all a mere part of how she can be described. She never uses the textbook and is constantly trying to appear to be this bright Einstein. She teaches based off research, however in class it sounds like rambling bull.

Horrible. Lectures were most of the time unorganized. Not always willing to admit when she doesn't know something completely. Essays were subjective. However, study guides were very thorough, so it's not too hard to do well. You just won't enjoy it.

Comment:
Dr. Sinisi is a mixed bag for me. Her lectures are interested and well organized, and as a result I tend to learn the material well. On the other hand, the outside-of-class works tends to be tedious, excessive, or irrelevant to the course material. So I love her in class but do not like her out of class. Her tests aren't easy, but are fair.

I took her for Psy of the religious experience just because this course was a lower level and counted as a convo credit. Do yourself a favor and go to convo! She is very unclear and her study guides are very unhelpful. She takes points off if you forget a few commas in your journal articles, so forget getting graded based on content!

She spends way too much time talking about nonsense, and statistics. She doesn't ever talk about the book or assign readings but expects you to know half of everything in it. She is rarely ever prepared, her grading of presentations is harsh, & her study guides are mostly useless since the majority of stuff on the test was never even discussed.

I personally dont like history, but she trys to make it interesting. She has lots of side stories about people that have nothing to do with test material. She will help you outside of class but her test essay expectations are unclear. Its almost impossible to get all your points on both essays.

I had her for experimental, history & systems, child, and theories of personality...WORST TEACHER EVER!! She's nice outside of class but taught me nothing b/c she was so concerned with making herself appear smart.....NOT OUT TO HELP HER STUDENTS! Not good at teaching her test are never reflective of what she emphasizes..She wants to confuse you
