Personally thought the class was interesting. She does not spoon feed the material. Also, to pass the tests, you have to understand the concepts; reading for and memorizing the words in the textbook is not enough. I would advise anyone taking in this class to take notes since some questions on test come from lectures.

Gives no positive feedback. Criticizes continuously. Class as a whole has hard time, therefore a reflection on her teaching, NOT the students.

Turner = mean, rude, arrogant teacher. She picks on people, plays favorites, nasty to people who are a minute late. She rants in class and goes on and on about personal stories NOT related to the material, doesn't test whats in the book. Wording in test tricky, purposefully. Doesn't give make ups, even if you have docs note. NASTY AND RUDE!

Hated this class. Dr. Turner was rude and arrogant. The lectures and the films was boring. The 100 question exam was unreasonable. Stay away from this professor!!!

hated the class. All we did was watch movie after movie. I didnt learn much from her. 6 short papers which were easy but the long 15 page paper is killing me...im on my third rewrite...so is half of the class. She plays favorites as well. And is rude. Avoid her.

here's the deal, loads of work for a 100 level class,if you don't have a background in anth this isn't 4 u.i would advice you to take the 103 with a nother prof.her 300 level courses are clearer but are very demanding but she knows what she's doing.ps:she prefers some students especially anth majors and ppl who have taken a course of hers previously

This is a wonderful class, and I'd gladly take any course taught by Dr. Turner.WI class with 6 short papers and 1 15-page...class average is an A,because we truly felt the desire to push ourselves.ANTH majors, you'll love her, other majors, we find gen ed in your majors difficult and sometimes boring, too. Indiana Jones & Lara Croft are fiction.

This was the most boring class I have ever had in my college career. The class was hard because I could not stop falling asleep or making to-do lists in lecture. STAY AWAY unless you have some sleep to catch up on!

I took this class because i thought that it would be relatively interesting, but i was wrong. Her tests are cumulative(every single one), and her lectures are horrible (she doesn't know half of what she teaches). You'll be sorry if you take her, unless of course you like a boring, ridiculous class

The class is huge, so she won't miss you if you're gone. Regular classes get about a 50-60% attendance, on exam day, it's hard to find a seat. Do the right thing and find something else to satisfy your General Education requirement. Your GPA will thank you.
