Comment:

I took Benson for stats and loved her. She is an amazing professor who makes sure that you learn the material to apply to future classes. There was weekly homework checked through online quizzes, but she respects your time and rarely, if ever, assigns weekend homework.

Dr. Benson knows the information that she is talking about. She is a very intelligent woman, but not warm at all. In my opinion, and from the majority of people I talk to, she is unapproachable. I completely agree with how people say she doesn't care if you fail-- because she doesn't! She is the math chair so either way she has her job set in stone

Christine Benson was by far the worst professor that I have had thus far at Northwest. She is a tough grader and I honestly think she enjoys watching her student's fail. Unlike the rest of the professors at Northwest, she does not care about her student's success. Terrible professor. Avoid taking her at all costs.

She was terrible. I hated coming to her class. I understand that the math classes have to stick together but if you can't handle it don't do it. She wouldn't finish the slides or anything and she would make up do quizzes and homework over them. She also rushes through our projects, not explaining it at all. I seriously can't stand her.

Ok here is the deal on Benson. She is a strict teacher so if you want to slack off don't take her. But she lets you know from the begining of the semester what is expected from you. If you just do the quizes and go to class you will do fine. Her tests aren't exactly the same as study guides, they are easier.

Dr. Benson does a great job lecturing. She asks a lot of questions to ensure clarity. The class content is a little difficult but if you pay attention and ask questions you will succeed. She is always willing to help if you are not understanding a topic. I highly recommend her as a professor.

I took her for Fundamentals of Math and Math Methods for Teaching with Technology. She is a really tough teacher, but that is because she treats you like an adult. The people who do not pass this class do not know how to apply themselves. She expects hard work from every student but is 100% willing to help you with anything you do not understand

Christine Benson is a horrible teacher. I went to class every morning @ 8 and I even asked questions. She made me feel like an idiot. Her tests are hard unless your know the material to a t. She doesn't seem to care if you understand the material or not. I WOULD NOT TAKE HER IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO!

In my opinion, it doesn't matter what teacher you take for statistics because the class is really hard and it sucks! So fair warning unless you're really smart or just like math you have a 1 in 10 chance of passing (and that's a term from stats I actually learned called probability!)

she's a great teacher, she just grades really hard. It was really annoying to get a quiz back, found out that I wasn't supposed to reduce the fracton at the end, and then find that I missed the whole problem with 4 points! She'll help you understand, but she does pick favorites.

I really like her. If you go in for help she will answer all of your questions as long as you have tried to do the problems. She seems to like what she does. She's very strict on deadlines, don't try to turn something in late she probly won't take it. But overall she is a very nice lady.

She is very unclear when teaching. It seems like she picks the hardest way to solve the problems too. Either you get the answer right or wrong on the tests, theres no halfs..she is very picky.
