Mme. Besnard is caring, engaging and truly teaches relevant information. Attendance is mandatory to succeed, as she does not use textbooks or allow technology in the classroom. Because of these rules and her amazing lectures, it is very easy to focus and succeed. If you attend class, there is very little homework or workload for her classes.

Mme. Besnard is an absolute gem of a prof. Her insightful lectures and engaging teaching style will inspire you. Be prepared to respect her no-phone policy and follow her very clear guidelines for presentations, tests, and quizzes! You will be challenged, but you will actually learn. Overall, one of the most amazing and genuine profs I've had!

Mme. Besnard is one of the greatest profs I've ever had. Her class has been both extremely insightful and useful; I've gained so much knowledge about teaching and learning a 2nd language. She's clear on how she grades and what she looks for in her class. Most of all, she is absolutely genuine and caring, and really a professor that I look up to.

She is a fantastic prof! Definitely would take one of her classes again. If you don't go to class then you probably wont pass. She is very clear on what she wants and how she wants her assessments to be formulated. Amazing prof!

She was so inspirational as a professor, so respected and established. I believe her to be a pioneer in teaching French as second language to people with down syndrome. Her knowledge of learning and pedagogy was extensive. If you want to pursue French she will show you the way to learn as effectively as possible. I would love to have her again!

I have taken 4 classes with Prof. Besnard and they have all been very interesting and rich in information. All that she teaches will stay with you throughout your teaching career. She is also very approachable and knows her content extremely well; there's no doubt that she is an expert in her field. The grade you receive is the grade you deserve.

I love this prof! I couldn't wait to take another one of her classes. She has done interesting research in bilingualism within the autism spectrum. Quite impressive. If she recognizes that you're enthusiastic, she'll give you the benefit of the doubt. You will work hard though! Lots of memory work.

This professor is highly educated, very interesting, and knows her content very well. You will learn a lot in this class by taking detailed notes of everything she says (there are no PowerPoints or visual supports) and by following instructions closely for the written work. Very relevant for teaching second languages! Study and you'll be fine!
