Comment:

Enjoyable assignments and good lectures, but the tests unfortunately required you to memorize lots of proofs, which are half the exam marks. She is up-front about this and tells you this, but it would be better to see more original questions on exams. Outside of that though the class was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this class.

Dr. Mynhardt puts a lot of effort into making her classes engaging. Her lecture slides are fantastic, I never had to use the textbook. Her tests are difficult but fair, expect to put in a lot of time studying.

Her assignments are quite difficult and tend to take a lot of thinking... start them early and get help if you are stuck. She is extremely helpful, has a lot of office hours, and responds to emails much faster than most profs. Her midterms aren't too difficult (don't let the homework scare you), and she gives plenty of info on what to know.

Prof Mynhardt is excellent. The course was hard, she will make you learn proofs for midterms and exams but if you understand the material this should be no problem. She is helpful in her office hours. She loves teaching this course and it shows. Provides a full set of written notes - so helpful! Do not even look at your cell phone in her class!

Highly recommend Dr.Mynhardt. Expect to be pushed but she is definitely fair if you put the work in. Working through and understanding EVERY problem in the problem sets is crucial for success.

Comment:

Dr. Mynhardt is the best professor I've ever had. She has amazing notes but I recommend you attend lectures. If you do and understand all the work, the exams are a breeze, but if you miss even one homework question, it may cost you a letter grade on the test; however, she is fair!! Her office hours are beyond helpful too. I loved this class.

Excellent teacher. She explained the concepts very well, and was helpful in her office hours. She also tells you VERY CLEARLY what will be on the midterms, so as long as you keep up with the material, you'll do fine. She also has a good sense of humor so get her if you can.

She was an awesome teacher. The content was the problem here. Assignment and Midterms were very difficult. You need to go through the online notes very slowly and make sure you understand them perfectly. She is extremely helpful in her office hours, and is not intimidating at all (as she appears in class). Get her if you can.

So high strung you feel like she's gonna burst into tears any second. You might not get full marks on homework if you find a novel way to solve a problem that deviates from posted solutions.

My favourite Math class ever. Very helpful and friendly inside and outside of class. 4 midterms, no final. Midterms werent too hard if you studied well. Lots of proff memorising though.
