What a sweet lady. Plans the courae out well and teaches similar to grade school. A courae pack with everything you need. Just study, keep up and you will do great. Git an amazing mark and finally learned how grammar rules worked in french. Something my grade school profs couldnt teach.. Too bad mme wadge retired, uvic will miss you.

She expects you to know the basic French. For some reason, she mentions Chinese throughout the class about how there is no article in Chinese and how French is so challenging for Chinese. It is a beginner French class, most students are beginners there. However, she exclusively points out that Chinese would have difficulties learning it.

GREAT prof! is the reason my one french elective turned into a french certificate. One of the best most caring profs ive had. Really cares if students learn. Coursepack is a life saver and makes the class easy to follow along. Textbook is actually fun as well

She was great! She's French so she truly knows what she is talking about. I was surprised by how many students already knew French. However, I was a true beginner and was still able to do fine. She was fair and if you put in the time, it is easy to do well in her class. She really wants you to do well, just try to speak a lot in class! Learned lots

Teaching style is confusing. Hard to follow. I feel bad for anyone without a prior knowledge of french. She doesn't explain anything, just says "don't think just repeat after me". Such a frustrating teacher, I won't be taking another one of her classes if I can help it.

She is honestly one of the sweetest French professors I've ever had. If you aren't understanding something, she really wants you to get it before you leave class. 150 is Oral French, it's surprisingly easy and leaves you feeling as if you've learned how to understand people better, even if you still don't know how to conjugate everything!

Mme. Wadge is so nice. She is such a sweetheart and puts a lot of effort into keeping the class engaged. Sometimes her instructions are unclear, and sometimes asking questions makes the situation worse. But be patient, because she means well.

Very approachable prof. You'll be confused the first day of class, but will get used to her order of things pretty quickly. Makes concepts clear, really tries to get the class involved, and makes an effort to know your name. Check her site often because it's easy to miss dates and things in class. Very fair (almost too generous) of a marker.

Overall a very helpful prof. Took French 8 years ago in high school and was really nervous I would be very behind. She lays out exactly what you need to do to get a good grade, and gives out very detailed exa review material. She's a fun prof and wants you to get a good grade. I am taking Fran120 with her next semester.

Fantastique. I was worried about taking french, but after this course you're sure to be highly enthusiastic about the language. There's lots of busy work and "high school" style teaching, but it's easy to get an A. She's cool prof, and recommend 100 if you're thinking about taking it.

Not a great teacher. Picks her favorites for sure. Most people who take this class are fluent or have a lot of french so if you are a real beginner it is harder since she skips over a lot of things and expects you to know. Easily frustrated when you ask her questions about grammar. She does not understand why you don't get it.
