I was excited for this course, once I started it wasn't so bad. Then when I asked him a question he was very condescending and rude. Class isn't too bad but tests are hard and if the answer is not 100% correct then it's wrong. Its all or nothing with those tests.

After hearing the many great things about prof. Nikolay, I was really disappointed and found him to be quite condescending and sarcastic when asking for help. He is definitely knows what he's talking about but I was always hesitant to ask for help because he has an attitude. I loved anatomy before, but I didn't enjoy coming to class because of this

There was so much material. There's no "in between," either you know the exact answer or you don't. If you want to make a good grade expect to go the lab after hours and to go to every review session. Start ahead of time and you'll be fine, get behind and you'll be crushed. Class average was a C, but if you want to learn anatomy take Nicolay.

AWESOME professor!!!! He is REALLY out to teach you some anatomy! He is inspiring, practical, and teaches lots of great tricks to help everything make sense. Don't take him if you're not a serious student-you have to work, but it's well worth it! He is also a wealth of information/support for applying to grad schools. One of the BEST at UNCA

I LOVE THIS GUY! Dr. Nicolay is one of the coolest professors I have ever had. Just don't expect an easy A, he takes his work seriously. But he is very nice, and loves to talk to his students outside of class. He is very funny and very approachable. If you have any interest in Biology at all, Take him!
