This was my favorite class this semester!! LOVED it!! Cj really pushes you to think and analyze the scripts you're reading. So much fun. Oh, and do NOT save the final project for the weekend before!! you'll kick yourself .

I was nervous to take this class but CJ is a wonderful professor! She is very understanding and SO helpful when you need it the most! The projects/lessons you get to teach are fun and it's a great experience. Made friends with so many people in the class. She is highly recommended!

CJ is phenomenal. I had her for Acting I and everyone in that class came out having learned much more than what one could expect of an acting one course. Though she has a lot on her plate and can be difficult to get in touch with for one-on-one sometimes, she is extremely passionate and does all she can to help. Fun class, wonderful person.

I am extremely disappointed with all of the classes I have taken with her. Acting III and Advanced Voice & Text were underrated. It's a shame that the Undergraduate Advisor for the SDSU Theatre Department has such low expectations for her students. It seemed her job at the Old Globe outweighed her educational responsibilities at SDSU.

CJ is a fantastic teacher! She is always willing to help and really knows what she's talking about. I'm not a theatre major but I really enjoyed her Acting I class because she made it so interesting. She is also a talented director. I would definitely recommend her.

CJ is the most wonderful person in the SDSU theatre department. She clearly cares about her students and does EVERYTHING with a smile. She is the advisor for all the undergrads in the theatre department as well as teaches. She is a gem. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Anyone who doesn't like her has a serious problem.

C.J. was crazy on attendance, you miss two classes and your course grade goes down a whole letter! It seemed like she didnt care about students. She never had time to talk. It felt like she was there cause it was her job not because she liked theatre. Very little instruction. Very fake. Her way is the only way. DONT TAKE HER CLASS.

Anyone should be so lucky to take a class with CJ. She's a fabulous professor and person. If you do all the projects, and show up to class everyday you can do well. I got a D in one class because I didn't turn in projects and am still taking classes with her. Even talking to her is a time to treasure. She did win an award!

This class was super fun and CJ is pretty helpful when it comes to the assignments. However, I got the feeling she forms first impressions of her students and it's hard to push past it...she either likes you or she doesn't! I worked VERY hard on all assignments and was surprised to receive a B.

hated this class. she was fake, annoying, and a hard grader. she has high standards and expects everyone to be there everyday. because i didnt go to all the classes, my grade dropped from a B to a C. dont take this class. it was a pain in my a**.

Very nice woman who was clearly an actress/director. The class is constantly moving so be ready to be participating in strange activities every day. You basically make up lesson plans for young ages and then perform them in class. If you're creative you'll love it, if not, you will still be able to do well. She does grade attendance.
