I love Professor Lindgren. She never gives homework and gives 2 tests and a museum paper. Super funny and caring. As long as you take notes on what she says you will be fine!

This professor is constantly late to class and her lectures are solely pictures from the text book, projected from power point. Her lectures are quite difficult to follow and the material she teaches in class is nothing like the exams. Her review sheets consists of about 20% of whats being tested and there was a surprise essay portion on the final

Professor used technology to show us all the artwork from the textbook, and she did not even know how to use powerpoint. We tried to help her with it and she just got annoyed at us. I highly recommend not taking this professor she barely taught and her exams were nothing that she explained in class

It's literally two weeks into the semester and I'm dropping this class. She is not a good professor who just shows pictures and doesn't explain them much. Most of the time she goes off topic and it just becomes a total mess. She spends most of the lecture trying to figure out the computer which is a waste of time. She is also rude.

She's not that great with modern technology and always needs help with something but she clearly knows her stuff when giving lectures, even if she goes off topic (which can happen).

Honestly, she seems like a nice person, but she is just too old for the job at this point. The tech has surpassed her and she takes classes that consist mostly of students looking for distribution credits far too seriously. I hope she retires at the end of this semester so no one needs this review, and I wish her the best outside of teaching!

The worst professor I've had at Hofstra. She's condescending and rude. She doesn't know how to use a computer. She doesn't speak loud enough. Her lectures are boring. You have to repeat yourself 10 times for her to hear you. She still uses a SLIDE PROJECTOR during her exams. Just... don't take any of her classes. You'll regret it.

So, this one is tricky! i took her for AH 101. lectures are boring because she doesn't engage. however if u take copious notes and write down anything that comes out of her mouth you are set. she gives two exams and a paper. Write a good paper and show improvement on her exams you will be set. exams are mcqs -- that are her notes and picture id.

Lectures are boring but you can tell that she likes what she does. It's kind of a self taught class, most of your knowledge comes from the textbook. Its hard knowing what you need to know for the exams. I didn't know what was going on because she focuses on the nitty gritty details in the text and not a holistic view.

She is very passionate about art however she can go off on her experiences. Lectures consist of pictures on powerpoints and very hard to understand what she wants you to know and what will be on exam. She has a lot of trouble working the computer so that takes up a portion of class time. Attendance not mandatory but helps.

Class is incredibly boring. The midterm/final are very difficult if you are not interested in art history. The paper is very easy as long as you can bs your opinion of a piece of art. I would not recommend taking this class if you aren't very interested in Art History. Dr Lindgren is very nice but the class is just boring.

This class so incredibly boring that I had to start bringing my laptop in order to stay awake and remotely pay attention. She's not always clear, but she's very passionate about what she's teaching and knows a LOT about it. Don't take it if you're not extremely into art history. Take a different course.

Took her fashion seminar and it bored me to tears. She is not organized when it comes to the midterm and final and you have no clue what to study. She takes us to some cool field trips into the city. Most kids either nap or just go on their laptops. Take notes if you can but she does nothing to engage the class. Nice sometimes but can be harsh.

In response to the rating from 12/18/11-- I have taken Dr. Lindgren several times and she is a brilliant and wonderful professor. Her classes are interesting and inspiring and you will learn a tremendous amount in art history. I recommend Dr. Lindgren without hesitation. Come to class and actually listen to her and you will do well.

Not actually an art history class. You must know Greek and Roman language and have knowledge about mythology to pass this class. Tests ask questions on geography instead of art work. Babbles on about her trips all over the world and repeats herself since she is old. Painful experience and I regret taking this class.

I took two classes w her and it was the biggest mistake of my life. Im an AH minor and I kid you not I thought that the classes were beyond mind-numbingly boring. No use in getting or reading the textbook because her tests actually come from sentences she says in class. She spends half the class fumbling with the computer. DO NOT TAKE HER.

althought she is very knowledgeable. she is a terrible professor. boring and her tests are difficult. i had a genuine interest in the course and she made me regret taking the class. you sit in the classroom in the dark all semester with her talking you to death and rambling. her notes have nothing to do with her exams. total disorganization.

I personally am not a fan. She tends to ramble and go off topic. However, I definitely learned how to nap in class. Make sure you take notes on her lectures otherwise you're screwed. Also- never ask questions. She will make you want to die. Try never to speak and you'll be good.

Claire Lindgren is the love of my life. Took her Art History seminar called "Great Artists in NYC Museums" this semester. Great, easy teacher to have when in small seminars of 15 or less; apparently she is very hard on her larger classes. And she's hilarious. Bottom line, she is a very intelligent professor who will teach you a ton about art.
