Lots of work, over 80 assignments weekly for the online course, no retakes on the exams/quizzes but the homework gives you 3 tries before submitting. LOTS OF WORK. If you aren't that good with Spanish or haven't had a Spanish course before you will struggle. HOWEVER, most things can be found online in Quizlet. The final was in person.

I am writing this for the ONLINE class only. While the majority of instructors assign between 70 - 90 activities per chapter Ms. Martinez assigns 138. While most other instructors allow unlimited attempts for homework Ms. Martinez allows 2. That really reduces the effectiveness of the online textbook. Probably the worst class I have taken.

Terrible online class. Tons of assignments (68 in a week!) which aren't super hard but if you're new to Spanish & taking other rigorous classes it's difficult. No real office hours, not very helpful via email. Only take the online class if your other classes don't require much. You'll spend a lot time in front of the screen w/ little help.

Online class, Great teacher, very helpful, quick email responses, fair grader. If you don't have any Spanish background and are actually wanting to learn the language, take a face-to-face class. I took the online class for the units, and yes, I learned a bit. Rather easy class. Assignments weekly that expire. Don't get behind. Good luck!

This lady is amaaaazing! Funny, organized, crystal clear. First day a little intense, but SUPER friendly and makes herself available. Speaks slowly so if you've never taken Spanish, you can decipher the words. Fun, understandable, relevant assignments; Drops lowest test & lowest lab. Currently taking Span 121, and WISHING for her :( RECOMMENDED!

ive taken her for 2 semester of spanish, she is the best teacher ive ever had. very good sense of humor and very understanding. if you only miss 2 days or less you dont have to take the final. you know exactly what is expected of you. she offers her time if you dont understand. she has a doctorine, definitly knows what shes talking about. best teacher i ever had. the only teacher ive ever had that really wants her students to perform well. she makes class funny and still teaches material. a genuinly warm person who cares about her job. people like her are rare in this proffesion. im taking spanish 3 with her next semester.

She's an amicable teacher who focuses heavily on teaching out of the book. She will usually assign homework on a daily basis but it's easy if you pay attention. Attending class is MANDATORY. There's almost always something new taught and if you skip class it can be difficult to catch up.
