Absolutely loved Dr. Timpson; he is easily my favorite professor here so far. Super approachable and accessible outside of class. Going to his office hours saved my test grades. He gives a lot of extra credit so take advantage of it!! If you pay attention in class you will be fine.

Best professor I've had so far at RWU. He is extremely energetic during his lectures and keeps you focused. Randomly calls on people, but it helps you learn a lot/keeps you focused. Most importantly, go to his office hours and he will try his best to help you out. It shows him you care. READ THE BOOK TO PREPARE FOR QUIZZES BEFORE STARTING CHAPTERS

I had Prof. Timpson for my first semester freshman year CHEM 192 lecture and selected him again for my second semester. He is very thorough, charismatic, and respects students who respect him. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OFFICE HOURS. Prof. Timpson is extremely helpful outside of class and will recognize your efforts in seeking extra help.

Timpson is probably the most enthusiastic chem professor at RWU. He's big on power points and speeds through them so make sure you pay attention. Even though the class is hard he's available for help at any time and is very approachable. He gives a lot of pop quizzes but that's only because he needs to catch up with all the other classes.

Timpson is one of the more fair and funny chem professors, but is very strict on cell phone use and attendance. Book use is heavy, and he's almost no help outside of class. Probably the most enthusiastic chem prof at RWU. In other words, the lesser of the evils.

As a famous chemist once said, "pumping knowledge into empty minds is exhausting". In this milieu, Cliff is indefatigable. His passion and alacrity in the purveyance of knowledge is enough to make any academic exhausted. Under his tutelage, the quality of the product, your education, is unparalleled in depth and variety. Thanks for everything Cliff

Timpson is great! Sure chem is hard but no one ever said it was going to be easy. He's really helpful and has a great voice too so you won't be able to fall asleep in class even if you tried. He keeps you interested in the class and explains things really well. His quizzes are always unannounced but read ahead of time and do your homework great guy

Dr. Timpson is great! From the moment I set foot on campus (I am a Biology major/Chem minor) he has done nothing but assist me in finding my way. As a teacher, he is top notch. As for those who whine he is "hard", nobody ever said Chemistry was an easy subject! Do your reading BEFORE classs and it will make a lot more sense!

Cliff's a great guy. He's extremely passionate about Chemistry, and his main goal is to make sure all of his students understand all of the material they need to understand to do well on the ACS. He uses the projector with pre-made slides, and you need to take quick notes. As long as you read the chapter BEFORE class and study, you're fine.

Whoever says that Cliff sucks is seriously retarded. He is really enthusiastic and really clear in class. If you need help definately go to his office, he is really helpful and if you make an effort then he will really help you as much as he can. Be warned though the class is hard and you actually need to try.

Dr. Timpson can fly, there, I said it, he can fly. But seriously, he is a great teacher with an in depth knowledge of chemistry and science in general. Loves what he does, and embraces those who truly enjoy chemistry too. Always there to help when needed, and truly wants his students to succeed. Awesome person, and teacher!

Dr. Timpson totally rocks ass. Not sarcastic, I don’t understand why people do not understand this guy. All you have to do is try, and boom, he will help you. I think the people who complain are just the typical “lets get ****†soon to be college dropouts.

Again, most 191 and 192 students are seldom prepared to actually learn. People get mad when they realize they are not as smart as their parents make them feel. Welcome to college. For those who enjoy chemistry, and have commitment Dr. Timpson is a great teacher.

Usually, the people who complain tend to be the usual half whit’s pretending to be scientists. General chemistry is usually taught with PowerPoint because it is a basic science class. I’ve had Dr Timpson for Inorganic and Advanced inorganic, and when students actually know chemistry, try and care, he makes the science come alive.
