You must go to class to get the information for the course. The marking schemes are quite bad, no part marks, no logical reduction in marks for mistakes. It's either perfect, or you fail the question. Mistakes in many solutions to the assignments, which he tests on. If you learn from the solutions, you end up doing it wrong and fail the quiz.

His lectures are good, he clearly explains things. His marking schemes are absolutely horrible. For tests, there are no part marks. There are three reports for labs, received the first one back the day the second was due, never received the others. Class average for report was 40% because it wasn't exactly how he wanted it. Wouldn't recommend.

Illogical marking scheme all he do is just give his work to GA and he marks as per his views and professor supports him blindly. you will only get marks if your answer is correct no procedure marks dont go for it he didnt even give extra credit of 1 mark

Here's the thing, I hate school, I hate studying and most of all I HATE dynamics, yet unbelievably with just a bit of effort i was able to pull off a 62 and wouldve been able to get a 70 in DYNAMICS if i just tried a little harder, this Prof's midterms and final were on point, no twists and turns, just do the examples and asignmnts. and you'll pass

One of the best professors I have come across at Univ of Windsor. Really helpful and connects with the students. Listens to what they know and they don't and moves the class accordingly. Gets constant feedback from students on their level of understanding. Conveys course materials in a clear and understandable fashion. Inspirational!

Excellent instructor. Straight and to the point. 50 minute classes usually last no more than half hour, and you learn more than the other sections do in a week in that half hour. Wants students to succeed if they show effort. Hates lateness, so get on his good side, and you'll cruise.

A very powerful professor. Can teach any course very well. very practical approach. He definitely is a gem in the business. Personally, he is not very enticing, harsh and cold. He seems to whine over silly matters. At the end of the day, it's the business that matters. So he stands.

Novak takes the time to explain things. He is easy to talk to and will always help when you ask. But don't come late to class. He is definately one of the best teachers in engineering.

It doesnt seem he cares too much about the students, he will fight you for every mark, he will screw the class over anyway he can. One day I went to TA to show they marked my quiz wrong, TA agreed to give me couple more marks after explanation, then I went with TA to Novak and he wanted to lower my grade on the quiz lol.

Take his noise class. Very interesting and you learn some good stuff. Kind of hard marker though but still fair. Easy to understand and talk to and always willing to help. Truly the best noise guy around!!!
