i took this as a night class so it was kinda boring with long lectures... but the content was cool. Although we didn't use a text book and he provides all slide on moodle, take lots of notes!!!! test are long and detailed to anything discussed in class. attendance is super important

Fun teacher with a lot of passion for what he's teaching. He cares about his students' success and even lets the class decide how to format the midterms. Very clear and concise speaking style, and all his notes are posted online so you can just focus on the lectures. My only complaint is that he jokes around a bit too much. Highly recommended.

I have such mixed feelings about this guy.. Colin is really nice and can be helpful if you talk with him 1 on 1. Maybe because it was a 6 week course, but he did not seem very interested in what he was teaching. We would cruise through a slide show or go through them slowly. Tests were hard, but he marked really easy. However, slides are on moodle!

I took the condensed summer course, and it was very overwhelming because it was fast and there was a lot of content. Despite this, Colin made me really enjoy the class and he knew his stuff really well. I found him very helpful, and I would recommend this class to anyone.

Out of the 10 classes I've taken so far, this was by the far the worst. Maybe it was because it was a 6 week course, but he sped through everything and showed no interest in what he was teaching. We did two powerpoint presentations a week, and each one was about 150-200 slides long. Information overhaul; it's supposed to be an introductory course.

Taylor's humor will get you if you know how to appreciate some classic dry humor. Great teacher - very approachable. Watch out for his classes though - he turns off the lights and the class is usually so warm it makes you fall asleep! Posts all of his notes online so it's super-easy to follow along. Don't buy textbook for 1140.

Colin is pretty great. He is definitely a phys. instructor, and I think he would be a pretty darn good one. He explains astronomical physics very well for those that have no background. (Maybe that is because I have a good background though). He loves astronomy and is always up to date with the latest and greatest. He definitely got me interested .

He's a good teacher, and keeps his class interesting, but sometimes he rushes some of the information. His tests aren't too terribly hard, but you definetly need to study, especially if physics isn't your strongest subject. Good class, overall.

Great teacher! Very laid-back and logical. Unlike my last physics teacher, he actually quizzes on the material covered. His tests aren't "easy" persay, but rather "do-able". If you pay attention, you pass.

class was good in the beginning, but after a bit he seemed to lose interest in the lectures,he sped through everything, his help wasn't too good, although he did offer. His exams, were hard. But if you're only going to take basic phys, take this guy over Onkar. Its the lesser of too evils. But really, hes not that bad of a prof, i just hate physics.
