Ahhhh! Stameshkin is so boring and she gets way too off-topic. I didn't learn anything in her class, but I got an A. Super easy, if that is what you're going for...but don't plan on being interested or inspired. Also, DO NOT buy the books she says you'll need for the class. You won't ever use them.

I'll be completely honest with all of you... this is without a doubt the WORST class I've ever taken. Trust me.. I'm doing you all a favor in writing this. If you like philosophy then take a philosophy class.. but don't take it with her or your in for an extremely boring semester. The ONLY thing I liked about her was that she is a easy grader.

She does not know how to teach clearly. I feel that she is all over the place, and goes off on rampages about things that are not important to what the subject of discussion was. Two take home test, attendance is required. The only good thing about this class is looking at what she's wearing, it gets bad some days. other than that avoid taking.

Even though you see all the sad blue faces you SHOULD def. take her. She is extremely boring to listen to but is well worth the grade!! Does not expect much from the class besides to participate sometimes in discussion. She can somehow talk the ENTIRE class w/out pausing.Can be funny if you listen to the things she mumbles under her breath.

Prob the most boring class you will ever take, seriously! Shes mono-toned & gets off topic every 10 min. Took her twice and got Bs. SUPER EASY!!! 2 take home exams (easy)& Final-gives u Q's beforehand, can write down all the answers on a sheet and bring to the test(this is really true)& 10 assmts that are 1pg or less. Entire class is worth 100 pts.

Here's the thing about Stameshkin: Go to class, write your papers and read the book! That's it! This is my third time having her and every class I've had with her I've gotten an A. Granted, she's sometimes a little confusing but by the end of every class her lecture comes around full circle and is astounding! Great Prof!

Text book is difficult to comprehend what Philosophers say about art and Prof. does not make any sense either. Very confusing class. Do not take this class if you care about your GPA! You can bust your butt and get a B+ (Doesn't give "A"'s) or half a$$ it and get a C+/B-. Seems to be a good class for typical moron students who do not care about school. Grade based on 10 one page reading reflection papers, 2 five page essays, and one final exam! Dont takes notes unless u pay attention entire time. Lectures-long,boring,not fun. If u listen she sums up the readings & makes it easier for u to respond to them if asked. Lectures whole time, very boring! Dont take notes unless u actually know whats going on. If u really pay attention youll get everything shes saying. What she talks about in class sums up the readings & is easier to respond to them when asked which is helpful. Can easily sleep & not be woken up. Can play on laptop and wont care. Takes attendence.Can leave whenever & wont care. Hard to figure out what the "artists" are talking about& saying in the book. Class is boring-high chance of falling asleep. Very easy! Very nice professor who is passionate about her subject. Lectures are boring but the information really makes you see things from all different perspectives. Two take home essay tests and an open note essay final. Write down the views of each philosopher on what she says and highlite main points in text and you'll do fine.

The comment below concerning her Bevis and Butthead laugh is very accurate. She's a sweet woman, but a complete nutcase. Then again, I should've presumed that she would be considering that all true philosophers are. Make sure you read the material and underline all major points in the stories for later references on the take home tests.

Really slow class, but extremely easy. Just make sure you do the readings and do a decent job on the take home tests (which are 2-3 page essays). And PLEASE do not bother taking notes in class, they will be useless to you. If you ever need any information for your papers, google it.
