Very intelligent lady. Hard to follow in class though, even if you sit in front. If you want a class thats more than challenging, take her class. Hardest class out of my college courses, and I've been in college about to be four years.

You will read A LOT! I think she's funny with her lectures but, a lot of people find her dry. She has you buy a handout of all the notes, best ten dollars I have ever spent. If you don't do the readings you won't pass. Try to get a good discussion leader that's what important.

She's very knowledgeable, but a lot of times she'll go off of what is listed in her study guide. A lot of the information is mixed with unneeded ones and it makes it a bit difficult while taking notes. Sometimes she'll go too fast, but there are cases where she held us in when she wasn't finished. Class was boring, but had its interesting parts..

Great teacher! She knows her stuff. It is long and boring lectures, but its humanities. No real way to make it interesting. It all depends on the TA you get. Some are easy, some are hard! Overall i got an A but you have to try. There is a lot of reading involved.

She is knowledgeable but annoying to listen to, self-righteous, and takes snide shots at political or religious aspects she disagrees with. Books are expensive and ALL content can be found online for FREE. Mass lecture is not mandatory. Discussion section is. Hope you have a good discussion prof. I did and was able to get an A. Avoid if possible.

She is very knowledgeable. But there was way too much reading. For a pre-req course I believe it was too difficult. If I were a history major it would make sense but I'm not, I'm only taking this course because I have to. Her voice is annoying, she doesn't speak clearly. I would definitely recommend going with another professor.

She has a dry sense of humor, goes off on tangents (half of what she said had nothing to do with what we would be tested on), requires 5 books, has an annoying voice and you have to sit right in front to understand her. Take it at Wayne! Easier, MUCH, much more enjoyable and NO books w/ Weinstein!

Dr. Bouchard may indeed know her stuff, unfortunately her lectures are exceedingly boring and she is totally unclear about anything she lectures on, rushing through everything. Getting through her exams with good notes is hard since she's impossible to keep up with. Attendance is not mandatory, but you need it if you want any hope of passing.

She's hard to hear/understand and lectures are extremely boring IMO. The TA's were horrible and made the class extremely difficult. This class has lowered my great GPA, which annoys me. She really knows her stuff but I'm not really interested in history and this was just a pre-req.I have heard other humanities professors are amazing.Too many books!

Fantastic Professor who knows more about her studies than anyone else you'll find. This class isn't for people who don't really want to learn. If you put in the effort you will get a lot out of her class.

Dr. Bouchard is humorous about her studies, she is a published expert in her field. Classes with Dr. Bouchard are always interesting. I never thought that I could learn so much. Her classes are for serious students only, there is work involved, and as long as there are no TA's she is a fair grader. I love taking classes taught by her.
