She is one of the nicest profs at UofM. She explains clearly what she expects from you, explains the books in class in detail if there is something you don't understand and uses different methods to engage you in the material. Great prof, will definitely take again.

I took part 1 of Expression écrite and it was great. This was part 2, completely unrecognizable. She just decided to teach it like grammar, not like a writing course (goal of this course is supposed to be to improve writing skills). Her explanations are unclear, to teach a concept she has us do exercises and correct, no explanations unless we ask.

I took her Autobiography class and didn't regret it. Material was very interesting (if you're into literature.) She's EXTREMELY helpful and lenient if you show interest. I had a depression and didn't hand in the last paper worth 30%. She gave me 3 more days allowing me go from a C to an A+ and get out of my funk. God bless her heart.

Starts out easy. Gets extremely hard if you don't know french. A lot of verbs and they never stop. Nice lady but not great analogies. Know your definitions. Tests are marked hard as she is a stickler for perfect grammar. You basically have to commit 2 hours a day to studying French. Definitely for the people with high GPAs in case you don't do well

I loved this prof! Very clear about what will be on tests and what is expected of you for essays. As long as you come to class you are fine. You dont have to read the whole book bcause she goes through it in class. Tests are easy, essays are harder but not too hard. Very interesting prof :)

Prof is nothing special. Her explanations are adequate, I suppose (though she tends to be a bit all over the place). She is quite approachable. Marking is a bit erratic. Tests are far too long for the time alotted (the second was better than the first). I wouldn't recommend her, though she is probably one of the better profs in a weak department.

Excellent course if you can handle 50+ literary styles in three months. Somewhat boring prof that seems to lack energy and vitality in her teaching style. Exams are way too long for alloted time. Final was better.

A smart Lady who can't explain things. Explanations always fuzzy. She rarely understands what you're even asking her. Ok marker, but it's hard to do well when you don't know what she wants you to do. Be cautious!
