Comment:

For those who enjoy art history, it is not a difficult class. Prof. M is incredibly knowledgable and kind. Lectures are long, but I very much enjoyed them. He makes it very clear what will be on the exam but YOU MUST STUDY. This is necessary for any art history class. I highly recommend him and would take him again.

Comment:

He's one of the best professors I've ever had. He communicates the material wonderfully and is extremely knowledgeable. I've taken every single one of his classes. The person who said he can't speak English is just bitter about whatever grade they got. He has every qualification to grade your papers and he has a better vocabulary than I do.

Awful professor. Does not speak proper English and thinks he speaks it perfectly, corrects it on your tests to something wrong when English is clearly his second language. He's not helpful and his grading system is horrible. He grades very harshly and claims the only the correct answer is his, because that's the how he taught it. Do not take him!

great professor! he is very knowledgable in the subject he is funny and his accent is fantastic!, he's really nice and prepares you well for the exam, STUDY THE IMAGES, MEMORIZE THE TITLES AND DATES ETC, that's what art history classes are, whatever one you're in, the exam is all about those images,so memorize them!..its not that hard..

I took Farber at first, stopped going to class because she was way too serious. So I had to take Art 102 again. Marinescu was wonderful. He enjoys his work but was never too imidating about it. Really knew his stuff and a nice guy too. Highly recommended for Art 102 instead of Farber.

the only things motivating me in terms of this class were the grade and my own interest in the subject. lectures were in many cases a rehash of the assigned readings. not sure what I paid so much $ for. Tests are easy if one puts in the time. If interested get reading lists,dont bother taking course

Great Professor! Had him for Roman Art. I never knew I would like Art history so much, his class made me realize my love for Art. If you have a chance to take him do. Plus he's really cute :) There is a lot of stuff to memorize but his test are fair.

If you like Art History, and don't mind memorizing hundreds of names for the exams, take this class. It'll open your eyes in a way no other subject can. Professor Marinescu is one of the most knowledgeable I've ever met. I warn you, if you don't study, there's no way you'll pass. Not for loosers.

This guy lives, breathes and eats Greek Art. I enjoyed his class but it was hard. Its not a typical 3 cred class - You'll get your money's worth and learn a great deal. In reality, it makes me appreciate the MET even more, and I have a faint interest in art. But be prepared to see many slides
