Dr. H is my favorite professor so far at JMU. I took him online but he set up the class so that I got to work with my classmates and get to know them even though it was online. If you have a chance to take Dr. H do it! The tests weren't bad if you studied, and the assignments were fun to do. Overall great professor and great class!

I've been lucky enough to have Dr. H for 3 of my classes at JMU and I can honestly say he is my favorite professor at this institution. Don't get me wrong you have to work to earn your grade but Dr. H will go above and beyond to help you earn it. He is especially helpful in office hours and uses social media to interact with his students.

LOVED THIS CLASS, became a double major because of it. Dr. H has really interesting lectures, although his exams are pretty hard, and they make up most of your grade. No mandatory attendance, but you have clicker quizzes every class that you won't want to miss. Take really good notes, write down the clicker questions too, use quizlet. Loved it!

Corey is a great professor and his class is really entertaining! Attendance is not mandatory, but there is a clicker quiz on the assigned readings and current events every day, so go to class. Only 3 tests and the quizzes make up the class, but tests are kind of hard!

Obviously very intelligence professor whose knowledge of the subject is clear. Tough tests, but you will learn so much over the course of the semester. He is very good about getting to know students. Sometimes, the best teachers aren't always the ones who hand out easy A's.

Very nice and very approachable. He is clearly passionate about what he's teaching and tries to make instructional time fun and interesting. He makes study guides for the majority of his tests and will help you if you ask. Make sure you do the readings.

I've had Hickerson for four of my PR classes and can honestly say that he is awesome. He's not easy, but you'll learn than you'd expect and will leave the class glad that you took him. He's very understanding and teaches from a practical viewpoint which is very helpful. If you have the opportunity to take him- do it. You won't regret it.

I took Hickerson for SCOM 361 and 467. He is one of the best teachers at JMU. The pratical knowledge I learned in his class I am using on a consistent basis at my current job. Class is laid back, and you accomplish a ton of things throughout the semester. Awesome guy.

He is really nice, and very helpful. go to class and read the book and you will do fine. He is very willing to help you if you can't do something and he is real patient. there are reading "tests", a midterm, and a final but they are just projects. enjoyed taking him.

Just returned from teaching @ VT. Extremely knowledgeable, and overall interesting class. Grades relatively easy, although the assignments are quite time consuming. No tests--just a few grammar quizzes, and a final portfolio to turn in as your final. Bottom line: nice guy, fun class, learned a TON.
