Professor Strete literally only wants one thing - for you to come to class. He will start the year explaining if you come to class prepared then he will give you a pretty good grade.. if you do not come to class, he is not afraid to fail you. You basically write papers and read them out loud... he is also a very interesting man to get to know!

Love Professor Strete! He's funny and interesting to listen to because he always has the best stories to tell. He makes you write a lot of papers, but they're 500 word minimums so it's really not difficult. Overall an easy and enjoyable class!

I was very hesitant when he first walked in the room and up until our third class, but once I got to know Professor Strete I highly respected him and appreciated his unique humor. One of my favorites at ESU, but be prepared to write a lot of mini papers. Easy grader, relaxed, and super caring.

He has you write a lot of papers, but they are beyond easy. Only one research paper on Global warming. as long as you write the paper and show up most of the time, you will do fine. Gives you extra credit to bring your grade up if you do bad on Global Warming paper. He's very laid back and chill.

Strete is amazing. The class was way too easy. We only wrote a couple papers throughout the semester. The topics were really easy and interesting. Attend class because he often lets you out after only 15 min. Only thing I was pissed about was that he said that we had to buy the book and it was a complete waste! Never use, so don't buy!!!

Professor Strete can come off as a bit crazy, but is a wonderful professor. I feel like I will take a lot away from the class. He is great for giving constructive criticism and never coming off as rude. He is an easy grader; there are 4 short stories, no midterm, and no final. What an awesome professor. I took this class on a whim when I had to drop another and couldn't be happier. Class is fun and laid back which makes the three hours go by quickly. Offers constructive criticism and is very helpful. Make sure you attend class though or you'll be in trouble. Four short stories and no final. Take him if you can!

If you want to learn fiction READ and talk to close friends. The professor only gives common advise that you can find anywhere. Stick to the Great Books to learn fiction & Your friends. This class was not a of literature. But a fiction class for a A that you don't earn. Felt the class was superficial.

Professor Strete is an amazing professor who is always enthusiastic about class. You can tell he genuinely cares about the students. I wish I could've taken him many more times! I took script writing and creative writing, and thoroughly enjoyed both. He is one of my favorite professors to date!

Hands down my favorite teacher at ESU, he is very interesting, awesome stories, super fun papers, I enjoyed his class very much, I took him for english 101 and Writing Children's Fiction, and I loved both classes. Professor Strete is an interesting guy with various real world experience in the writing world. However, he plays favorites and favors a very distinct form of writing while dismissing the rest. Flat out, this guy should not be a professor. However, he's an easy A or B; just be aware that you might deserve an A and get that B.

Professor Strete is amazing. I know English Seminar does not sound very appealing, but if you are an English major you have to take it, and Strete is the man you want to take it with. Attendance is mandatory, but you will enjoy every second you are there.
