I love Hernandez, she makes class interesting and funny, and really you can bring up any topic in there and she will be enthusiastic and have a discussion. Tests are not hard if you study, and she's a fair grader. She tends to shoot people down in class on a regular basis but it's all in good humor.

Honestly, if you're at all unsure of your spanish skills, do not take this class. She sizes her class up quickly determining who are the best speakers and only focuses on them, leaving the rest to fend for themselves and feel like crap. Homework is ridiculous (she often doesn't go over it) and nothing you learn in class is on the exam. Horrible.

Ah Hernandez. First of all she doesn't hate boys--I'm a guy and one of her fav. students. If she picks on you it's prob. because you're one of those needy kids who always ask a dozen questions in class. She's definitely laid back, professionally and personally, but really nice and helpful. Easy A.
