Very nice guy, but doesn't really let you form your own opinions. If the opinion in your writings does not reflect his own he'll spend half the class period refuting it. The lectures are a real drag but the class is an incredibly easy A, he'll give you an A on reflection papers just for turning them in. The final is a 5-page paper. Bring a laptop!

Professor knows what he is talking about but doesn't know how to teach. Lecture based with attempted discussion. The class is super boring but if you show up and mildly participate you'll get an A. He allows laptops which i highly suggest to keep you awake not to take notes.

I find it amusing that this man writes books about education, because he is (by far) the worst educator I've ever encountered. He certainly knows his subject, but he never has a plan for discussion, doesn't discuss the texts you read in class, and allows nobody to disagree with him. Easy A, but he'll bore you to tears, so it comes at a price-Misery

Hard to follow -- backtracks and contradicts himself, and his handouts (and the textbook). Felt like yelling, "help me!", but knew it wouldn't do any good.

Dr. Knoblauch is too difficult a grader; he is a good speaker, but can be kind of rude sometimes. Overall a good guy though. I think he should re-evaluate his grading policy, because he judges undergrads too harshly.

Makes a potentially boring class interesting. Took night class(2hrs 50min) but time flew. Does not end class early. Rather difficult grader but gives opportunity to re-submit one paper. Necessary to read assigned works. Excellent feedback/constructive critisim on ALL papers. VERY HELPFUL. Takes & counts attendence.

kind of a strange specimen. Got on my nerves at first but grew on me after awhile. willingly gave extra help, not too personal, but did care & want to help. Not extremely difficult, listen to his somewhat boring, but relatively informative lectures. not highly interesting class, but I learned a lot.

Extremely unclear on assignments-I had no idea of what the topic was on the papers b/c of vague explanation. Never takes a breath-could talk for hours with no problem. Expects class discussion, but students have no idea what to say. Blah blah blah blah. Sort of nice- risk it if you want.

Where is this guy when you need him? Some sort of stealth technology keeps him off the radar and impossible to locate. Has he taken a good look at his teachers? Does he talk to students? Does he know what's going on? Hello? Hello?

you need to make sure your profs follow up on recommendations for grad school, etc, know they're busy but it took me 4 months to get a letter written- ridiculous!

No need to trust everything said 100%. I generally won't listen to the people too worried about making clever statements like the difficult and depraved or useing words like Farce. Congrats for your language skills. How about some objective ratings?

This rating is for you, guy. You need to ditch most of your profs. All of my letters of rec came from profs who LEFT UNCC. I'm NOT proud of my BA.

What's with all the strange professors? When you sign up for a class you never know what kind of nut you're going to get. I enjoy a challenge, but overcoming a teacher's personal problems shouldn't be a course requirement.

I don't doubt he's a good.I don't doubt him as a chairmen.I DO doubt his teaching ability. His classes were all open discussion but no one knew what to attempt to discuss.I got nothing out of this course but an easy grade. Nothing learned, a point pusher.
